It isn't bad writing, though. There's no point in trying to argue that because it makes you look like an idiot. You can dislike it, but that doesn't make it bad. It's consistent, characters follow clear arcs, the interactions influencing certain behaviour shows fairly good depth in the writing.
The game itself missed a few notes gameplay-wise, but the writing is solid.
