Yes.

Gee I dunno user, why do you think they called it a "Switch"?

So people know to switch it off and buy a Playstation instead.

It's a handheld with TV out being marketed as a console so that retards will accept paying console prices for handheld games.

for the first year i owned it it was handhold only
now it's mostly console unless i undock it for comfort reasons
also split joycons for multiplayer, the joycon is perfect for SNK and playing metal slug and KOF with people was the shit

yesn't

If you want it to be

>It's a handheld with TV out being marketed as a console so that retards will accept paying console prices for handheld games.
ding ding we have a winner

>can be held in hand
gee user i wonder

It's a piece of shit

>Nintendo Switch Lite

Not really, no.
But the handheld market has been killed off by smartphones so it's as close as we're going to get in the modern day.

Handheld quality being sold at home console prices.

Are people so retarded that it's been 3 years and they still can't grasp it is both a handheld and a home console.

It can act as both but it's a better handheld than a console. It really is too weak for its own good because it needs to be able to run its games in handheld mode. That Switch Pro/+/whatever they call it can't come soon enough.

I play my Switch exclusively on TV mode. I only bought it for the games, and the bonus of being able to take the dock and console with me if I need to work remotely so I can hook it up to TVs in hotel rooms.

So is it a home console or a handheld? Just answer the question.

>buying a second tv
but why?

a console if you're a kid or poorfag who can only afford one system. it's a handheld with optional tv out for anyone else. i would say i spend about 90% of the time playing in handheld.

It's a handheld console.

>Buy a Switch early on
>Joycon drift
>Ah well you know launch issues haha I'll jus tbuy another one
>Joycon drift (after 3 two hours sessions)
>Buy a Pro controller.

Its a really awkward home console.

handheld

the only positive to the switch lite is that it forces nintendo to allow alternative controls schemes instead of forcing shitty waggle motions like they did on the wii.

It's a hybrid

It’s whatever conveniently suits your argument at the moment.

Does the switch represent modern day transgenderism?

Consoomers view it as a console that you can play on the go. That’s why the regular model outsells the Lite despite the former being larger and more expensive.

It didn't force them to do that. They had already understood that not everyone likes waggle and so they gave other options from the start.

>What I wanted
A console that I could turn portable
>What I got
A handheld I could rig up to the TV

YOU MADE THE LITE, NOW GIVE ME THE HEAVY

I think it's more to do with Joy-con drift being widely known, far fewer people are going to buy the version that can't be fixed

Its called a Switch because when you see it you'll switch it off and walk away

I bought one of those for $80 and it was a really well made fake. It wasn't obvious but I noticed by tearing it open and comparing it with a video of an authentic one. Beware OP.

i pretty much only play in handheld

maybe

its not widely known outside reddit/twitter
you live in a bubble

It’s product code is HAC-001, which probsbly stands for Handheld And Console

I can't look at this controller without thinking of Pyra's Shorts

It is a handheld. Its architecture and hardware design its more akin to something you find in mobile stuff.

What games on the Switch before the Switch Lite motion controls?

It is not a home console retard.

If I plug an android tablet into my TV and use a bluetooth controller does that mean its a home console?

That's.... The point.

Because when you see it you want to switch directions 360 degrees and walk away

> Handheld game console: A game console that doesn't need external controllers, speakers, or displays to play video games. Played while looking at the console itself and holding it in your hands.
> Home game console: Console that uses external controllers and hooks to a TV or other display to be played.

It's obviously both. Stop obsessing over labels. The Switch is the system and works the same way regardless of how you classify it and what you call it.
