Alternate reality where I am the lead director for Cyberpunk 2077.
>Game takes place in perpetual night time. >Save the game by sleeping in a bed like in GTA IV. >Player Character is a night owl who sleeps through the days, explaining the game's perpetual night time. >Employee who suggests adding a day/night cycle is fired on the spot. >Make one large neon district as the world map instead of trying to emulate a whole city and surrounding environs. >Look at the source material's basic bitch, uninteresting gangs and decide to replace them with new and actually well written, actually interesting gangs because in 2020 we need more than "hurr american gang with beer bellies and guns" and "Yakuza gang with lots of neon lights, katanas and tattoos".
I think my alternate reality Cyberpunk 2077 would get better reviews than the one in our world will be getting.
Here's what I'd do >take the game >tell the devs to make it good It's that simple, just make it good
Jaxon Baker
>it's another episode of Zig Forums thinks it has better ideas than the developers
Michael Davis
Taking out the day night system would have helped so much with their lighting solution too, since they could have baked high quality light maps.
Logan Ross
*knows, not thinks
but then you can't peddle meme-tracing to the plebs :)
Michael Roberts
They forgot to tighten up the graphics on level 3.
Jaxson Stewart
>cant peddle meme-tracing to the plebs what? only a mong would think that raytracing is nicer in day than a neon filled night
Grayson Wood
fpBASEDp
Brody Wilson
>Thinks daytime is actually a problem please stfu with this kinda spam, thank you
Xavier Parker
daytime = more sunlight to meme-trace around the environment :)
And imagine late afternoons, at dusk or dawn, when both sunlight and neon lights have to be meme-traced! :) :) :)
Nathaniel Stewart
How is it not a problem? Do you actually think that there's been a single frame of footage from the game that made it's inexplicable daytime settings look appealing?
Liam Mitchell
Seriously why does Keanu look so bad? Other characters in the game look better.
Brody Williams
the amount of seething this game has created is glorious. i never cared for Cyberpunk, nor will i buy it, but even i know this game will sell millions and will be praised as one of the best games out there and Zig Forumsedditors will RAGE at those facts. and that's will i will read every single Cyberpunk thread
I don't know how the game will be, but one thing I wanted (and I know it's not in the game) is fully modeled 3D interiors. I've wanted this since GTA San Andreas.
Imagine being able to enter literally every house, rob literally every shop... Before this wasn't possible due to constraints in CPU/RAM usage, but now? I highly doubt modern PCs can't run something like that.
David Barnes
>Take cyberpunk 2077 >Remove what makes it unique >Stuff the remaining carcass into your preconceived box of what "could of bean" >That box is just Blade runner synthwave wankery Yeah it's shite mate.
Asher Ross
>Look at the source material's basic bitch, uninteresting gangs and decide to replace them with new and actually well written, actually interesting gangs because in 2020 we need more than "hurr american gang with beer bellies and guns" and "Yakuza gang with lots of neon lights, katanas and tattoos". Ask me how I know this is bait.
Connor Powell
Shit writing, would-ve been better for the game to be on perpetual night due to pollution obscuring the sun. God I hope you never get hired for body building.
Jason Wilson
you could make a day/night cycle but with the sun being blocked by dust and smog
The gangs in the game look awful, bland, overly stereotypic and uninteresting. Why break with the source material when it comes to the visual direction and setting of the genre, but then keep the one thing that SHOULD have been changed?
It's not like you have a counter argument so I will presume you are actually not being sarcastic.
Cameron Hernandez
>I don't buy the game >I don't play the game >I don't support it in any way, shape or form nor do I care about it >I just read post on 4channel >"all you're doing is sucking corporate dick" what a fucking retard
Lincoln Nelson
>Make one large neon district as the world map instead of trying to emulate a whole city and surrounding environs.
Yakuza does this and that series clearly must be doing something right. Since it hasn't stopped working for like 15 years.
Without the meme arrows, can you actually re-write this post and seriously explain what point you're trying to make?
Jayden Ramirez
okay go make that game then. get off your ass and make it instead of complaining about "why can't product be ONLY what I like!" like a bitch ass consoomer.
Jackson Lewis
how am I sucking corporate dick by not buying the game and only reading rage posts on 4channel?
Christian Scott
>just make a multi-million dollar game dude!
Thomas Lee
Adding in smiley faces doesn't do anything other thab make you look like a passive aggressive little bitch
Mason Fisher
Your collective seething over a game that you aren't gonna play is hilarious to outside observers
Oliver Robinson
>>Player Character is a night owl who sleeps through the days, explaining the game's perpetual night time. Yes because everyone in the game also has an autistic sleep schedule like your character right? Everyone you interact with just so happens to sleep during the day like you, yes, makes perfect sense.
Mason Garcia
You support a corporate product, you suck corporate dick, it's not rocket science, user.
Joshua Gomez
You'd then have people bitching that all the interiors are the same. The games too easy since you can just rob everyone. Interiors are pointless if there's nothing to do in them.
Carter Roberts
I am right though :) :) :)
Jason Scott
Daytime is not an issue, it should have a day/night cycle but be constantly overcast/smoggy and sometimes rain as well.
William Stewart
>I wanna enter every single door in every single building Kinda autistic desu, whats the point of visiting every floor of a apartment tower?
