what games do i need to play gmod?
I have half life, ep1 and ep2, team frotress and css installed. Do i need to install left 4 dead 1 and 2 and csgo too? Thanks

you don't need any other game, you can just download the content packs for free, but if you already own them, install all the steam source games that you have, most of them are mountable, and there is usually at least one map that uses some texture or model from them.

also it's not advisable to have gmod on your SSD, since it's a game that constantly downloads gigabytes of addons, no matter what server you join, you are going to be downloading at least a gig of data.

i used to unironically like the school shooter gamemode before normies freaked out (despite the fact gmod literally has slave trade RP and nazi RP). If you are a fellow degenerate, you might get a kick out of the pedobear mode, which is just hide and seek, but with anime cunny.

If you wanna find specific servers, you should probably google them, finding them with the ingame browser is a pain.

you need to manually purge the addons from your gmod folder, and also unsubscribe from them on the workshop, so they wont redownload again. If you want to play gmod long term, it's better to invest in an HDD, and occasionally purge your entire addon folder.
