What became of your Wii U?
What became of your Wii U?
I never owned a PiiU lol
pretty sure more people owned a virtual boy than a wii u
Wii U is a great example of "oh yeah, that happened". Almost as bad al Ouya.
Still use it because it's hacked
Full nodded out with every emulator under the sun with a massive hard drive full of games. Gets used pretty regularly.
its sitting in my closet. the switch is pretty much everything i wanted from the wii u, so i don't really see myself hooking it up again anytime soon.
I let this dope head borrow it a feel years ago and never asked for it back.
i have one to play mario galaxy and some rail shooters
A proper fate, probably gathering dust in a pawn shop
Sold it for $200 before its value dropped too much. Use CEMU now for things like BoTW and Splatoon in 4k/60fps glory.
My asshole cat chewed the charging cable and now I can never play it because who the fuck sells those anymore? And also why even?
It's just a dedicated streaming machine in between Xenoblade X sessions
I still use it as a gamecube/Wii/Zelda machine
Cat sounds pretty based, stopping you from playing that trash.
been playing Hit & Run on it lately, gcn games on the gamepad is real comfy
Nintendo’s website still sell them I think
It's the ultimate emulation machine for me. Hell, I own 2 so I can have easier access to them
sold it
should have kept it, it feels like the best cfw and emulation console to have.
In a box in the attic at the moment, will pick it up for some GC/Wii/WiiU games after I've grown tired of my Mega Drive.
I still have mine for playing switch games
is it easy to break with CFW? i should try it
Probably ridiculously overpriced still too.
>a feel years ago
CFW for the system is pretty easy now, but it's soft CFW so you need to reinstall it each time you start the system. All you do is just buy any DS game and mod it to turn it into a CFW installer and you're good to go in like a minute every time you start up
There's an option to also just hack the console into immediately starting the DS game on start up but since there's no way to protect a VC game from being moved or uninstalled in the WiiU's OFW, if anything happened to the game it'll brick your system so I don't do it as a paranoia.
still hooked up, waiting for a good opportunity to set it up for DS roms
Handsome cat though. I think he was saving you.
I would strangle that piece of shit.
oh, thanks man
personally, I couldn't be bothered with the DS CFW setup so I just use mocha via indexiine now (which is a relatively new method from what I understand), I just have to launch the browser and run mocha CFW on bootup and that's it. Got all my games setup on an external drive, including injects for GCN/Wii titles.
Portable Gamecube/Wii and #FE Uncensored machine for me
Playing it occasionally with my cousins. Nintendo Land is underrated as fuck. If the battery life and signal strenght of the gamepad was just a tad better, it would've actually been a decent console. But since the signal breaks after 3 meters there's just no point in even having remote play. Also you need to keep that fucking pad with charging cable plugged in to play. Otherwise you need to recharge every other hour. Also the screen is pretty bad but the other problems are much worse.
I actually unearthed it recently since I had a desire to replay XCX. Apparently an ant colony decided to live inside the controller, but it still mostly works after clearing them out. The touchscreen flickers a little bit every now and then but nothing game breaking.
I loved mine when I had it.
Traded it in to get a PS4,
Modded it, It's good portable machine.
- Hacked it
- Stuck some GameCube & Wii games onto a USB
- Gave it to my friend
This is what my Switch is currently doing.
>owning Nintendo consoles
sold it to some lady to finance the switch
kind of regret it since the Wii u is so hackable
cut the chew'd part and splice the remaining good cable, are you really too retarded to join 3 colored wires?
Amidst all this what's being released I am enjoying my time with it. Even to this day I play Mario Kart and Splatoon online. As it appears the console seems like an unfinished switch, my hatred for the hulking size has gone and what's left is only joy for me to come. Only from this I learned how good the build quality is actually compared to what we have now. Would gladly use the pro controller when I play on PC.
tl;dr great console and great emu station wish I got it when it released
Still hooked up to my TV. It took over the Wii as the new emulation box. And I still play Wii games from time to time. In fact, I'm going to play Earth Seeker soon, set up the fan translation that finished a couple of months ago so I'm all ready to go.
In a box. Keeping it around for if I feel like playing through MH3u at all.
Sold it after buying the Switch on day 1.
No regrets other than not being able to play XCX anymore, I'm sure that'll change
Trying to cram more Mario Maker 1 levels because nintendo wont let you upload them in 5 months. I also occasionally replay BOTW
>portable
Can't even be used sitting on the toilet in the next room.
I play MK8 online regularly and some GC games with nintendont
I just play games in my bed desu so It's pretty portable to me, I just wanted to play Rune Factory Frontier in bed and gamecube games.
