MHA1 wasn't anywhere near as poorly received, in fact most people thought it was a fine game, but Jump Force was a laughing stock and Bamco clearly took it very personally.

Pokemon? In X and Y they had massive attention on the anime because for once they actually made a pretty good season, and because it looked like Ash was finally going to win the league and develop as a character. Then they had him job hard. The next season they use a shitty art style with a generic school setting and finally let him win, but no one cared because Sun and Moon sucked dick. Now they're making the worst season yet, while for some reason pandering to the fujo audience.

the manga's final arc was shrunk into a handful of chapters that haphazardly paired everyone together and etc, it would have been better if the series had simply ended with Rukia disappearing
