Nintendo did absolutely nothing wrong...

Nintendo did absolutely nothing wrong. They have an obligation to protect their property or they won't be able to defend it from people trying to steal and profit off of it.

How does improving a product you bought and own equal piracy?

Reminder that the kikes at NoA are doing this and the japs at Nintendo HQ couldn't give 2 shits and a fart and a peepee about what you do.

Yeah melee players are fucking retarded if they think nintendo will allow people to promote their emulators. Not even a bootlicker that's just how it is

>japs
>not having a conniption over anything that could even remotely be construed as piracy
>especially done by foreigners
lol

suck that corporate cock, user

YO WE GOT ANY BELMONT MAINS IN THIS THREAD?
SIMON MAIN REPRESENTING.

>promoting emulators
how is not taking legal action the same thing as promoting them? do you think nintendo is "promoting" some fringe newgrounds game where mario is killing niggers because they didn't shut it down?

japs would send you to jail for replacing the dead battery in your old nintendo cartridges if they physically could. theyre big into bootlicking over there

it's funny because sending the cease and desist has led to more people learning about slippi than if they had just let the tournament continue
kinda funny seeing smash babies seethe, but still

Japs would send you to jail just for swapping a model. If they found you added online they'd execute you and your entire family on the spot

melee tournaments are huge. No one knows that mario kills niggers

Stop sucking nintendo dick, you fucking subhumans.

this is the same level of retardiation as twitter uses have when it comes to getting corporations to make statements about social justice issues
>IF YOU DONT CONDEMN IT IT MEANS YOU PROMOTE IT!!!

Nigga if jap developers had their way, you wouldn't even be able to lend your friends games, let alone even buy used copies

But that's true. Twitter users are based

It either means you promote it or you don't care. Both of which are bad, turning a blind eye is indirectly promoting it too by the way.

nintendo doesn't even have a leg to stand on in this case. should've just moved the tourney to a site that doesn't instantly crumble to dust under threat of dmca.

I don't understand what they thought would happen? Nintendo or any company for that matter has never sponsored the use of emulators for their games, and while Slippi has been a great alternative for online Melee in general the fact remains that it's a near 20 year old game with no "legal" means of playing it online outside of that.

In general just a terrible year for the FGC and had DESU been a normal in person major this shit wouldn't have happened. Nevermind the fact that DESU could have still hosted Ultimate and excluded Melee but doubled down and got both cancelled entirely.

>turning a blind eye is indirectly promoting it too by the way.
Ah so I guess Nintendo promotes every crime but racial violence and piracy since they've been turning a blind eye on everything else

Weren't the organizers turning a profit on the tournament?

is there a list of every single possible crime somewhere? i need to make sure i denounce all of them, wouldn't want to promote any criminal activity.

Figting games are fucking dead AHAHAHA

>Nevermind the fact that DESU could have still hosted Ultimate and excluded Melee
Given how shit Ultimate's online is and how bad the previous tournaments were, its for the best really.

A fighting game isn't being discussed here. You might have the wrong thread

It depends on the expectations.

>Nevermind the fact that DESU could have still hosted Ultimate and excluded Melee but doubled down and got both cancelled entirely.
Big House was an event hosted by melee players and was always been a melee-focused event. I wouldn't host the game Nintendo is trying to get free advertising for either if they serve papers. It was an online ultimate tourney so at least nothing of value was lost.

yeah

kill yourself retard, every Judaic practice comes from NoJ

TOs make a profit off of any tournament they organize unless it's explicitly stated it's non-profit.
Do you think this is the first time ever super smash bros has been in a tournament you retard?

Letting this go would be allowing people to find out more about how to play their game illegally which would then lead to people playing the rest of their shit through unofficial means. Also fuck Meleefags and the Smash community at large.

youre an idiot dude. they banned game rentals in japan going back to the 80s, you think they'd allow this shit?

Don't care, still not taking a bath

You're completely daft. Everyone who plays Melee already knows about dolphin. Most of them play the fucking game off of SD cards on hacked wiis. They're protecting nothing. If they're afraid it's because NEW people would be interested in melee and get involved then maybe they should make their modern game not have piss poor netcode and actually be fun while they're at it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
WE GOT TO COCKY MELEE BROS!!

Of course they want to get rid of "perfection" which Ultimate will never be

What profit? There’s no primary market for melee, all they’re doing is squatting over the husk of a game people had fun with and shitting all over it
