>similar mechanical complexity >similar game structure >both have a cast of fairly unique characters >both have sorta simple combat that is less enjoyable than the rest of the game >both look gorgeous >both are story focused >similar quest design
and yet, W3 is engaging the whole way through while RDR2 is almost universally dropped after a few hours how come?
inb4 "i hate them both", nobody gives a fuck kiddo, fuckoff
>RDR2 had better writing >RDR2 had a better engine >RDR2 had better radiant AI >RDR2 better quality while being larger in scale >dev influenced cdpr to purse what TW3 ended up being
On my first play through I dropped the game after the hunting mission in chapter 1. About a year later I picked it up and finished it.
Witcher 3 is fantasy and basically draws you in on that aspect, whilst Red dead in the start appears to be a regular shooty shoot game

RDR2 is much harder to just pick up and play. It feels sluggish but rewards continuous playtime of 2+ hours

This is the third time you posted this thread today. How much is CDPR paying you?
Gabriel Baker
you are a hype nigger writing in RDR2 is absolutely god awful, the engine is worse, "radiant ai" doesnt amount to jack shit, the game is smaller than W3 and its quality is fucking trash, W3 wasnt inspired by a game that came AFTER it you nigger
Lucas Adams
I hate both of them. Bite me. But i can answer your question. A lot of talk about how the story of rdr2 is great but it is actually shit. Side characters in The Witcher 3 get way better treatment than main ones in RDR2. Compare bloody baron to any of your literally gang members. Compare the cartoon villain that is Micah to Gaunter O'Dimm. The writing in TW3 is just far more clever and it makes it a worthy investment to go through the grueling experience that is the gameplay for some people. I am not one of those people though.

ONE GOOD TREAD its all im askin' for here user ONE TREAD and ill be set for life

Witcher 3 tends to have more character interaction even when you’re not pursuing the main quest. Theirs always something to kill, explore or somebody interact with. RDR2 feels much more limited in that scope by nature of it not being an RPG. But if you dig the lonely moments of fucking off to the woods to do whatever side activities it really shines outside it’s story.

>w3 engaging the whole way >rdr2 dropped after a few hours It was the exact opposite for me, although i came back and finished w3. I dropped everything else in my backlog and put like 70 hours in rdr2
Christopher Stewart
oh man I love picking up the frying pan for the woman and my horse not being able to swim in water in TW3!!! So much better than rockstar
All I see is two shit movie games with terrible gameplay.
Samuel Adams
That is much better than literally shoveling pig shit. I hate rockstar fanboys.
Jaxon Evans
any more nitpicks or just those 2? i sure love how arthur controlls like a tank and his horse has to slooooooowly go from wherever it run off to and come to him instead of the game just cutting the shit

TW3 was inspired Rockstar in general dipshit and 2077 feels even more like Rockstar but without the quality. CDPR about to be another Ubisoft tier dev

Witcher 3 has 0 niggers. RDR2 is afraid to even say nigger against niggers.
