Do you like Devil May Cry 5?

Very mixed about it, since I utterly hated the story/writing. That aspect is just plain awful.
The new artstyle and the music they have also didn't appeal to me.

For anyone who has 5SE is the Just Judgement timing as strict as in 4SE? Also can you trick down and trick dodge at any concentration?

It's a mixed bag of a lot of good stuff and a questionable amount of bad stuff.

I don't know why otherwise solid AAA action games always have to have to have 25% of their enemies shittily designed (pic related).

Having any enemy in a power fantasy action game that's not hittable for 95% of the time it's alive is an insult to the genre.
It's not fun. Same with the Marauder from Doom Eternal.

Furies are not that bad, but I would argue that Blitz is a flat out better version of the same concept.
Furies force you to wait and parry them, you can't interact with them otherwise.
With a Blitz you have a choice wherever you wait them out, shoot them to shit slowly or brute-force them out. Shotgun JC, Gilgamesh attacks and RG the shock.

I think people think Fury is a better enemy because they never learned to fight Blitz

I wish I could skip V's levels, he makes replaying the game so fucking boring.

Not a big fan of it. Locations are copy pasted, story is stupid, combat is same old, enemy designs are lacking.

I'm struggling to describe how much I agree with you, user.
I like Furies. I like them a lot, actually. And I think the main reason some people didn't like Blitz in DMC4 is that he didn't quite pull a Fury on them and allowed them to bang their heads into him hard enough and long enough they could beat him without ever learning the enemy.
But if you think about it, that variety in the approach only makes Blitz a more interesting and a better-designed enemy.
And most importantly, I would've loved to see him return in DMC5 - along with Furies.

I feel the same way about Goliath and Belial as bosses, since Goliath wastes your time with the events like the ceiling crumbling, and then jumping out of the church. Belial just gets to it and you fight.

6 years for no costumes, 4 only-boss levels (and 1 boss rush level) and an SE to be released less than a year later with less content than DMC4SE is pretty underwhelming.

Game is super fun though, favorite to play in the series. Kind of a shame that 3 is still the only good story in the series. 5 is way too far into slavish fanwank to be remotely satisfying.

The only thing I dislike is the level aesthetic and how much it repeats itself.

Since Vergil named the Force Edge copy the 'mirage edge', do tou think Nero gave a name to his Yamato copy ?
Also it would be nice that in an eventual sequel, Nero use the energy Yamato as a full weapon instead of a single attack
