If they take place in the same timeline is questionable, as minigames like drone racing and paradise VR in Judgment are missing in Yakuza 7

Havent played Judgement, did the combat evolve significantly from Kiwami 2? I always loved the stories of Yakuza but I always found the beat em up combat to be the weakest part of the series.

Judgment has a style system so you aren't stuck with some hodgepodged combat system from 2001

I did, I’m on chapter 10. It feels like the first half of the game was nothing but build up and things are finally coming together. I want yakuza 3-6 first so I can actually finish Kiryu’s story without fucking around with emulators.
