Less developers less games less profit...not to mention leaving fans. I was happy with my SEGA consoles. I bought games. And gave thrm tomes of money so why did SEGA screw me over be leaving with Nintendo Sony or Microsoft? I hate all 3 of them and PC too...
Did SEGA really made the best choice be becoming a third party?

yea. but they made a bad choice not porting more games to PC or making new good games. only a stupid monkeylike you wants them to make another console so thier games are locked behind hardware
Yeah weird how they went from a major player to just abruptly deciding to not compete
No because Snoy is ruining gaming now.
Eww tell me about it. Sony is so fake. No console war shut just telling the truth.
>choice
lol
You realise xbox and Nintendo exist right? Companies that have their shit way more together than Sega, what are you implying here?
>Xbox
>Shit together
Just look at them they are pityful...I miss SEGA in hardware they were more unapologetic and fun.
>and PC too...
brainlet
Master System and Genesis whooped nintendie's ass. Saturn was legitimately awful though, it was very expensive and the 3D capability was worse than Jaguar and 3DO.
I think a lot of ppl who did not own a saturn have pre conceived ideas about it. I love the saturn. Last bronx, Burning Rangers, Panzer Dragoon Saga (epic) were all excellent 3d games. I dont get that idea.
They stopped making consoles because they couldn't afford to make them anymore.
That's what they said but it makes no sense, cause human population keeps growing so there are a lot more ppl consuming...
>Master System
>Beating the NES
>Saturn 3D capability was worse than Jaguar and 3DO.
Those games look awful even compared to PS1 games bro.
>Master System
>Beating the NES
Yes, graphics and performance wise, by a long margin. The NES couldn't do shit without cartridge memory controllers.
>Saturn 3D capability was worse than Jaguar and 3DO.
A hyperbole, but almost.
Go look at panzer Dragoon saga gameplay and tell me that is not better than almost any ps1 game. Maybe Vagrant Story and metal gear everything else was worse.
What? Sega was literally on the verge of shutting down before being bailed out by a dying businessman's massive fortune. They had no fucking choice. Honestly, it was rocky at first, but they've been picking up momentum in the past 3 years, and honestly, I think they'll make a big impact as a publisher if they continue to be the only one to listen to its fans/let its fans make the games.
Saturn was unironically the strongest performing main contender in that gen, but its second cpu was basically unused because no one knew how to use it, and also no one knew how to model with quadratic polygons so it didn't do well in North America. It had 1400 games in Japan, though.
Maybe if they weren't so busy bailing out pachinkl, hotels or sh*t that have nothing to do with video games they would have more money.
That mostly came after, tard. It makes them a fuckton of money--even more than their arcade cabinets. Plus, Sega does pachinko in a based way
On the subject of their older consoles, what are the best Saturn games in Japan that have an English translation? RPGs are welcome
Shut up tard. What does SEGA Sammy Golf bullshit has anything to do with anything?
>Master System and Genesis whooped nintendie's ass
Europeans are subhuman
Sega made the original Amerinigger consoles. Where I come from if you had parents that love you and weren't alcoholics you had a Nintendo. Less fortunates had a shitty Sega.
Alien Resurrection looks better than all of those. Driver 2 probably has the biggest and most detailed 3D world of all 90s era consoles.
Nah, it simply didn't have a good enough GPU. It's inefficient for 3D games. SoJ rejected the deal with SGI, so this happened.
It wasn't a choice dumbass, they literally went broke.
Even the Atari 800 from 1979 whoops nintranny's ass.
Real high IQ take right here
Nagoshi is loyal to Sony so when they go to shit he will blindly follow them
I had a Mega Drive growing up but the SNES was just better. But at least in that gen they were comparable, same cannot be said about the Master System which was miles below the NES and you'd have to be delusional to think otherwise.
Eh. Yakuza is currently their best series and it's not like it wasn't just on PlayStation for the longest time anyway. Seems fine.
Choice? lol If they didn't get bailed out, they would have died completely.
>SNES was just better
You could get a good genesis game for 40 bucks in the US. SNES games were like 60 or even 80 bucks because they needed enhancement chips inside their carts to make up for SNES' weak CPU. Despite the SNES' late release and higher retail price, the Genesis was almost twice as powerful on paper, and it shows.

>Master System which was miles below the NES
What makes you think so? The SMS was newer and a lot more powerful.
