Post the last video game you played that you loved, and maybe some things about it that you thought made it good.
I'll start. I played Deus Ex for the first time. God, what a game. Great atmosphere, great music, extremely fun and varied free-form gameplay. What's not to love? You can even mod the fuck out of it.
>You can even mod the fuck out of it. do you know good weapon replacement mods?
Elijah Mitchell
I fucking hate video games
Caleb Gomez
GMDX has good stuff. It is exclusive to that mod though, so maybe reconsider if the rest of the features aren’t your thing.
Brody Gonzalez
You shouldn’t

I hated the hong kong part not in the least because of the voice acting which is just cause tier. Also, don't know if it was tge way I played it, but once I got the dragon sword, every single mob, including bosses died in one, maybe two hits from it, making encounters trivial.

why
Gabriel Gomez
>dragons sword is supposed to be a weapon for stealth users >is loud as fuck at alarming enemies kek

All video games are precious :-)

I’m really enjoying Bravely Default

I played the Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from butcher bay. Honestly, it scratched an itch i never knew i had, while the mechanics were pretty simple and straight forward, the game nailed a lot of small touches that helped immerse me in it's world. Stuff like actually controlling a physical playermodel instead of just being a floating camera, having minimal hud, being able to shoot out lights and such, and the writing and voiceacting helped too. What can i say, the game makes you FEEL like Vin Diesel.
Nicholas Gutierrez
If you try to play Assault On Dark Athena after it, don't go with the same mindset.
Luis Nelson
Yeah, i already played a bit of it, and it seems that stealth is not the main focus.
Owen Taylor
>stealth is not the main focus. yep
Jack Hall
I'll try to push trough it, because the story still interests me, but the gunplay is not really satisfying at all. I just hope they wont stretch the drone gun gimmick too thin, dragging bodies around just to be able to shoot was not fun.

Super Hexagon I don't normally like self-described "hard" games, or purely reflex based ones, but this one just clicked with me. I think it's the music, coupled with the fact that you're never further than 60 seconds away from your goal and can restart instantly. This game does strange things to your brain, it forces you to operate at the limit of your processing power, and then when you're convinced you can't think any faster, it makes you. This might be placebo and autosuggestion but I think it made me better at processing information under pressure. I certainly feel it in other games. Finishing this was one of the best feelings I got out of vidya. It's 1 euro now, I recommend anyone who hasn't played it to do so, it's more fun to play than watch.
based i loved playing this years ago was addicted to it on my phone as well
Kevin Gomez
That looks sick, thanks for the webm user.
Jose James
super hexagon is excellent, got it shortly after launch years ago and played a bunch of it on my laptop when I was away from my desktop

I know it's supposed to be a positive thread but you cant think of anything not to love in Deus Ex? Really? You dont have to shield what is all around a really really good game from criticism. It will still be a really really good game even if you point out its flaws.

I was watching a speedrun of Majora's Mask yesterday and I might give it a 4th playthrough. It has a really insane and magical atmosphere, to this day there's no game like it for me.
Got back into the Commandos games recently. Currently on the Colditz level in 2. Fucking fantastic little series. Hopefully with things like Shadow Tactics and Desperados 3, we might see a revival of the genre. Shame the HD remake of 2 was so wonky.
The first game I played was Halo CE, it was a incredible game, despite I didnt finish the game after 12 years of playing it, cause retarded kid mind make me have bad dreams with the flood and I never was able to surpass those goddam boxes, it was a game I played a lot with friends and have a lot of soul put in it.
The last game I finished is Ikenfell, the history of the game makes you continue playing despite everything else wich is a great thing to be honest. Because it more woke than TLOU2 and have better story. How the tranny spics did it? No idea.
The last game I played was Dead By Daylight. It was nice until people take it too seriusly. I like a lot playing as the trapper and dwight. I just retaked the game after a lot of time cuz friends are playing it and it has crossplay.

Played Reciever 2, it's a good small game. It's refreshing to see how much detail work they did with the guns, you can actually go into debug mode and see they animated every part of the guns.
SAA is a tricky little shit to use though, god damn.
Just lure the other enemies towards the dead drone, conserve ammo, use the stun gun (it's seriously overpowered) and the one that shoots mines. I think I dragged maybe 3 drones around over the course of the game.

I actually finished Umineko for the first time today. I really liked it, went in not knowing anything (aside from UWOOOOOOOOH, magic's not real!) and was happily surprised. Thanks Zig Forums for recommending it!
