How in the blue blazes do you keep up with the World Level in this game...

How in the blue blazes do you keep up with the World Level in this game? It goes up way too fast and you have to keep everything leveled and everything gives too much AXP and they don't give you enough wits and ore and it keeps costing more and more. You can't even hold back on raising your WL because the AXP continues to stack so the moment you do the quest it will raise you a bunch of levels.

Maybe it would be okay to keep up with if you only had to do it for one character but you have to do like four to cover the elemental weaknesses. And god forbid you realize you want to use a different character, then you're really screwed.

The one thing that doesn't give AXP is ore so I guess in theory I could just mine ore every day and nothing else for a while, but that would mean sacrificing the commissions and it wouldn't help me with getting all the ascension items that need resin, which of course also gives you AXP. And this is all before factoring in the increasingly obscene Mora costs, so that's yet another thing to farm that gives you AXP. Seriously, does this game ever let up or am I just going to be playing a constant game of catchup with my WL increasing every time I reach parity and forcing me to start the process again?

It's a gacha. It's only going to get worse the entire genre is endless grind that ramps up more and more so you'll spend money. The only way to keep ahead is to play strictly by the book and don't deviate from efficient levelling or resource management, in other words don't have any fun and don't use 80% of the characters.

>The only way to keep ahead is to play strictly by the book
The only way to keep ahead is to payout
you will always hit the wall

Just play the game and be patient.
I can one cycle the Ice Flower boss at WL6.

i love walls, i try to overcome them, its why i love warriors games.

Cap your main dps characters around the level 60 ascensions, then focus on acquiring and building up weapons, talents and artifacts.

I've played a few gacha games, and while it's true that they are very grindy, none of them have had this ridiculous system where the enemies level up with you. In my experience the enemy levels usually stay static so you will outlevel them eventually.

Can you post your team/levels? I'm curious how you have your XP distributed.

Is this the type of game where the stat distribution is curved in such a way that levels become less worthwhile the higher you go? Because I suppose in that case it would be a lot more manageable if you can get away with not maxing them until later on, when you have the luxury.

There are some RPGs I've played where they're programmed in a way where no matter what your stats are, if your level is lower than the enemy's level it puts you at a disadvantage. I hadn't looked into it but I was worried this was one of them.

>Can you post your team/levels? I'm curious how you have your XP distributed.
Mona is my only 5 star, level 80.
Fish and Xiangling at 80.
MC, Noelle, Barbara, Chong and Sucrose at 60.
Everyone else is below 50.

Thanks. I don't have any 5 stars yet but I'd imagine that probably helps out a lot. I was thinking of trying for Zhongli when he's out but that was before it sunk in how much work I have ahead of me. Regardless I will probably end up with one soon since I'm closing in on the pity. Fischl and Xiangling are actually the two characters I am definitely committing to myself so it's reassuring to hear that doing so will turn out well.

Post your team so we can see your current situation
The general strategy is having one/two dps 100% maxed out (talents, artifacts, level) and some supports with a few poopy artifacts and some levels.

If you are F2P and have ungodly bad luck, then Xiangling + Crescent Pike (just don't fucking refine it until you've made one Prototype Grudge too or you'll hate yourself forever).

Being Ventilet must be awful. Just went to WL6, things are still pretty easy. Even domains.

Post AR and your party you dumb fuck.
I bet you wasted all your exp books on everyone instead of your main DPS.

just wait until you hit ar45 difficulty spike

>Zig Forums is bad at video games episode #21931
I'm f2p and AR 49 and it has never gotten any harder, you must be doing something incredibly wrong. Just farm some artifacts at AR 45, have atleast one decent elemental interaction in your main party and keep your characters leveled, how is this too hard? I've had lvl 90 ascension materials for 5 of my most used characters since AR45, because I thought that's when I could ascend them...but I have to wait till AR50 probably because of dumb niggers like you who blame the game for being dogshit at the game themselves.

>I'm f2p and AR 49
Doubt, even if you wasted all your Fragile resin that's like 48 max.
Enviosity got over 2k chest opened and still AR47.

there is a disadvantage if you're lower than the enemy levels, but the game is so easy that it only starts mattering when its a difference of 30 levels, just get all your characters to level 70 ascended and you wont have any trouble clearing anything, and if you do struggle, you can just farm the earlier domains or do co-op for the hardest one. The overworld mobs are always gonna be easy, which includes the world bosses. Weekly bosses might give you trouble, but just do co-op for wolf and use food for the others

it is possible if he used free primos to refresh
I'm AR48 and played since day 1, haven't spent a single gem on refreshes but I have used all my fragiles

Yeah I'm retarded, I meant to type 48. But I'll add in that I don't have a single 5 star because I didn't even re-roll. I'll excuse anyone for saying the game is difficult if they play on a phone though, this game does not really lend well to touch controls.

Easy or not, world level makes it feel like their health grows faster than my damage. It's still easy, but it feels like I'm regressing rather than growing stronger.

>but I have used all my fragiles
48 is believable because 50 fragile resins = 15k AR exp
from 47 to 48 you need at least around 16k AR exp.

That means your talent levels/artifacts are subpar, do the event and get your talents up and farm the overworld bosses for gladiator sets with good stats
I honestly wouldn't bother with artifact domains till you have decent gladiator pieces
Yeah, I just hit 48 yesterday

I'm AR30/WL3 with Xiangling at 45, Fischl, Diona, Traveler at 40, Barbara, Sucrose, Ningguang, Xingqiu, Lisa and Kaeya at 30, then Amber at 20 and Noelle at 1. I will probably ease up on Diona since she seems like a support, I've just been leveling her because I like her.

I know I'm not actually that high level yet but I noticed how much wits levels were using so I started to panic and came here to ask for help. I do still have 120 Hero's Wit left though because I bought all of the ones from the event shop. I also haven't leveled my artifacts at all except for a couple because I'm not sure which are actually worth leveling, so I have a bunch sitting in my inventory.

It's not that I've found the game hard, so far at least, it's just that I didn't know I wasn't supposed to spread my XP so much so I'm worrying I'm falling behind and that it will suddenly become too hard with a WL increase. Although maybe I'm just overly paranoid and it will start taking longer than I think for AR to go up if AR48 is the highest possible AR right now.

I'd recommend using Xiang Fischl Diona + sucrose/barbara/xingqiu, you should try to get to the highest level possible on your weapons and cahracter on your Xiangling if she's your main dps.
Fischl is just gonna be there to pop her bird for reactions and damage, Diona for shields + ice, which can react with Fischl to apply superconduct (which reduces physical resistance which allows you to do more physical damage, which is a big chunk of your damage as XiangLing. Your last character is just there for heals/grouping up enemies, etc.
As long as your main dps is level capped and has some decent 8/12 purple artifacts you will 100% be fine

>Cap your main dps characters around the level 60 ascensions
Nope. Ascend them to unlock the 70 cap to get their final talent then keep them at 60 AFTER that unless you have the books to spare.

Its as simple as maxing 2 dps first with a healer 20lvl behind and not being braindead bad at videogames.

How important are elemental resonances? Should you try and have at least one double element in your party?

If your team works and you can get them, go for it, otherwise don't bother.
Only worth ones really are double fire, double ameno for quality of life and double geo if one of your main boys is geo, otherwise not.

Depends on the element. For instance fire and and ice give you bonus dmg and crit respectively. Water gives you bonus healing, which you probably dont need assuming you dont get hit anways.

Thanks, I'll keep your advice in mind. It's good to know that the characters I've been focusing on are actually good ones to use, and I'm glad I correctly recognized that Xiangling is the DPS that I should be focusing the most on. I was leaning towards Barbara as my fourth since she seems like the best healer but I can see how Sucrose would be useful too. I like Xingqiu as a character but I'm not sure he has as much utility compared to the other two.

I do suck at video games sometimes but I guess it's probably a lot harder to mess up irrevocably in this game than I thought.

Also, why would you hate yourself forever for not making a Prototype Grudge? Is it because you want a second 4 star spear in case you get a second spear user, or am I way off base?

Wow

>Zig Forums is bad at games
Not surprised, really.

I hit AR45 a couple days ago and it took me like 2 days to remember that the mobs actually got stronger after I did that. Literally didn't notice a difference as everything dies in a few hits anyway, especially now that I can farm better artifacts.

>Hey, I'm good at this game, let me ignored the other guy who clearly talking about OP that suck at this game.

In English, doc.
