Now that ryzen prices are fucked ( 230 euro instead of 150 for thr 3600) is it a good time to go back to intel?

Fuck, I should've snagged it.

i5-10400F

whats the fucking difference?

F is better.

sold my 3600 and bought 9600k instead half a year ago. No regrets.

2600 are still available and cheaper by $70 or more than a 3600
If you're just gaming you likely won't find a big difference since they're both 6c/12t, just use the money you save for a better video card

I'm gonna buy a 10400F. AMD prices are fucked so hard now.

f is cheaper tho
ey yo the intel shit costs 145, 3600 costs 230
guess my brother gets an jewtel pc now

>cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD Ryzen 5 3600&id=348
real cheap at the moment as well

but what with compability and shit
its the same price as 3600 was so i cant justify buying a 2600 now

what's a nice website for hardware comparison? I'm looking specifically for GPU comparison

>unironically posting a link to userbenchmark, a site so biased incorrect that it got banned from both Intel and AMD forums and subreddits
There are significantly better alternatives that don't suck ass, like Follow the cpubenchmark links in this thread and click 'video card benchmarks' at the top.

igpu. other than that it's the same chip

Just see how the game you want to play runs on youtube videos.

I just want a 5900x and I'm not fucking allowed to buy one because no seller has fucking protection against bots. The literal minute stock is back up they get sold out again.

>bought my 3600x at the start of the month for £190
Based

Early 2020 seems to have been the best time to upgrade, now being the worst time since prices stagnated due to the kung flu, and even though there's new hardware coming out these prices will not go lower (and in some cases go up instead)

wait the f one doesnt have integrated graphics?

Just wait for prices to normalize. Once 5600x is be available in quantity, 3600x/3700x prices will drop very low just like 2600x/2700x did

>just wait bro

Just wait for quantum computing to be available in a quantity. You'll find Ryzen 9 in trashcans.

tm

First 3 generations of ryzen motherboards are compatible with each other, just update the BIOS for the older ones
>its the same price as 3600 was so i cant justify buying a 2600 now
Well that sucks but for the rest of the year there's usually a big gulf between 2600 and 3600 prices, try next week or so

Waiting a few weeks to get a superior 3600x and a B550 motherboard that works with future Zen 3 refresh chips (5600xt?) is a much better choice than being an impatient child and buying what's cheap right now

guess the 2600 is better than the 1500x which is shitter in multi tasking huh?

I'm just gonna wait (tm) for AM5

Don't buy 2600. Waste of money. Wait for 3600/3600x prices to drop to ~150

How important is RAM to gaming? I still got an ancient 8GB set up but is there really a point to jump to 16GB DDR4?

Or just buy i5 10400F. Benches slightly better than 3600 in most games and is already $150. You can use it with a $70 motherboard too.

This, I have a 1600X OC'd and it's terrible for many games unless you strictly want 60FPS and only 60FPS (which is fucking dumb)
The 2600 is that much more powerful. You're in fact better off with a 3300X instead, it has much higher single thread perf

yes
16GB has been the standard for a few years now.

>JUST WAIT
fucking niggers i swear

youtu.be/ge630T9CsC0

Intel got AMD beat on price/performance. The 3600 should have been $130 by now.

yes, it was intels buisness model to have all cpu equiped with an integrated graphics, but they prolly dropped the idea since amd has been selling them without, and they need all the money they can get, even defect chips

Ok but does it really have an impact on game performance? The way I understand it, system RAM is more important for multitasking whereas games are primarily bound by VRAM.

That was during normal times. Now everyone is staying home, 2 new consoles competing for same parts and scalping for computer parts is at an all time high.

No, few games even use up 8GB when you don't have Chrome or some other garbage in the background.
