I thought normalfags wanted sub 10 hour games that cost $80 because they have less time to play games

Going by achievements, most don't even finish what they have and go back to playing fifa

A misguided perception that They aren't paying for a game to play. They're paying for a certain amount of time to spend playing. It's dangerous imo.

nah normalfags can't get enough of games like fallout/witcher/botw

I would much rather play a perfectly paced cinematic campaign with some excellent tight and yet emergent gameplay that can be completed in 20 hours maximum on the hardest difficulty then play another boring padded out open world looter shooter.

More Doom 2016 and less Destiny 2.

They don't, look at the completion stats of TW3 or any Assassin's Creed game

If you only play through and DMC game once, you're doing it wrong.

The older I get the more I appreciate short but good
I dont have the time for a 90 hour game these days

unless its 2

A shorter, more refined experience that's worth replaying is better than a drawn-out chore I have to make a serious effort to finish.
This writer also doesn't understand that there are new skills and abilities locked behind completing the game on Normal, Hard and DMD modes, so the game isn't done until you've managed to beat its toughest challenges. You should be getting 50-60 hours out of it easily, it just doesn't FORCE you into doing all of that.

do they? they never fucking finish them

I literally saw them all complain that Cyberpunk 2077 is 150 hours long and that's not even when trying to 100% it.

Because more time with game = more fun per dollar in their pea brains

God I hate you retards. This same thread was made but with "why do normalfags hate long games" when some fag wrote an article about long games wasting time

>Cinematic
Opinion in the fucking trash

>I dont have the time for a 90 hour game these days
He posts, on fucking Zig Forums.

cuz they buy one game a year, and just play that until next year

I don't plan to purchase anymore open world games. I'm tired of them. I'm playing ghost of tsushima and i'm so incredibly bored, i'm going to stop doing the side missions and fox dens etc and just blitz through the story. i'm done.

What? You don't like being given a map filled with DK64 bananas hidden behind the same bing-wahoo puzzle repeated 500 times? What are you, toxic?

Length isn't the problem with DMCV.
It's that you have to switch to characters that aren't Dante and that makes it a boring campaign.
I hear they fixed this in the SE but I'm not gonna pay full price for a patch.

That's an American outlet, they want value for money since wages haven't kept up with inflation.

Normalfags are the ones that bought into short as fuck games like CoD4.

Half life and bayonetta are both cinematic.

I've never payed more than $1/h for a game.

I tried replaying DMC5 immediately after I beat it on Normal, but the environments are so shitty and boring that I gave up.

>tfw Persona 5 is 80 goddamn hours for the first run
>tfw I was maybe invested in it for 10 hours total + however long the kawakami scenes are because I have a fetish they stumbled onto.

Honestly, my only problem with DMC5 is pretty much V. He doesn't fit in a character action game. He's way too easy to play, and I've been going through DMD. Was having a blast playing Nero, then got to the first V mission which I proceeded to clear with S ranking no issues whatsoever, and I was legit tired. I was just spamming X and Y, twirling my thumbstick here and there, reading the book while occasionally dodging and pulling nightmare out when there was more than 4 enemies. Yeah, I could probably try and do combos, and actual styling with V but there is no point. You're not rewarded for it since you can just easily do what I was doing and get SSS like its nothing.

I cleared Bloody Palace with Dante, and had an absolute fucking blast. Will probably try the same with Nero as well sometime and I dread doing it with V so I'll probably skip it. The V sections took a 9/10 game down to an 7.5/10 for me.

I don't understand it honestly. I've encountered it with friends too where they immediately trash a game if it's not open world with an enormous map that has like a mile to walk between points of interest. I'd much rather have a denser, more linear game. I don't hate those open world games, but I've been kind of tired of them lately. It's mostly the same formula in all of them with some small variations.

I feel the same but at the same time there are some open world game that are decent, horizon and metal gear being two examples
The open world is wasted in most games, there is no exploration since you have maps and icons, every event always happen in a small area and the same content is repeated a million times. I wish more games actually used all that space with missions take place in a large area, as of now i only saw metal gear and maybe SotC do this

Normalfag addict casuals brought with them the idea that infinite games=quality games because they don't play games out of enjoyment, but to be able to tune out for a few hours, so paying for a one trillion hours game with repetitive and easy grind is a definitive win for them. No investment is required, no judgement or experimentation. Just plug in and roam aroubd aimlessly for hundreds upon hundreds of hours.

I remember back when I was a kid. Sandbox games like GTA used to be my fucking dream because I liked the idea of total freedom. Now that open world sandbox is the norm, I've never been so bored by videogames. Last open world game I invested myself into was MGS5 and despite playing for something like 50 hours, I progressed about 5% in the narrative because I spend more work on the fucking sidequesys and expanding my base than anything else and all of that to develop weapons that the game discourage me from using. Now all I want are classic, linear games.
