being forever spoiled by high frame rate and unable to return to 60fps

>implying you need to ever go beyond 1080p

Pure kino. Even the basic Windows tasks will feel better instantly. Just make sure you've actually changed the refresh rate once you plug it in.

>240 Hz on anything higher than 1080p

An RMA

It's worse

Post specs, unless you've got a recent PC you're only running CSGO at 240hz

I'm still using 1080p 75hz, like I give a fuck about graphics

32 inch 1080p

Best post in this thread. OP is about to see his computer skyrocket in temperature, while seeing performance fall through the floor.

1440p 144hz is the sweet spot

>he fell for the 1440p (720p 2.0) meme
>or worse, the 4k 60hz meme

Idiot.
The human eye can't see beyond 1080p anway

>31.5", 1080p
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I can return to 60, but 30 FPS is horrific.
It already was horrific most of the time since so many games don't even pull off a locked 30 and are really running in the 20s almost all the time.

You don't need it. It's worthless. Matter of fact wire me that money or send me that monitor because it's that bad.

1440p 240hz IPS*

>That'll be $1600 + tip
>Per screen

cancel your order
curved monitor shit is a stupid meme and you will tire of it

also get 1440p its 2021 almost bro

can humans see anything beyond 75hz?

Disappointment in 144fps
Except when using the mouse on the desktop. That's actually noticeable.

It's $600

Not if it's an OLED

>Giving OP shit for holdovers
>Putting money on 1440/4k before microLED

yeah if you don't want gsync. what's the fucking point on high hz?

You are going to shit your little kraut diaper

I picked up a 27gl850 for 380 euros today. 144hz/1440p monitor. I hope it's good.

I have that one.
Suffers the weakness of IPS monitors in that you will get IPS glow in a dark room, but otherwise is solid.

I have a (somehow) half-dead/half-stuck green subpixel near one of the corners though. Only noticed it nearly a year after having it, have to deal with that.

>AOC
She fucks white men btw

>you will get IPS glow in a dark room

"IPS glow" literally refers to fucking screens showing pure black

I have never experienced it/noticed it/been bothered by it and i have been using IPS monitors as long as they have existed. They are the better choice, period.

> have to deal with that.
Literally press down with your finger all around it

1080 is all you need

Have you tried running this for a whole night?

OP Here, most people say Cancel your order, i checked for some, and i can find more 144 hz, is there a different between 144 hz and 240 hz?

the difference between 144 and 240 is incremental/barely noticable compared to 60->144 which is life changing

you want 1440p though.

>Literally press down with your finger all around it
I tried all that stuff, didn't work.

And yes I agree the slight glow is worth everything else IPS gives over TN. Until OLED overtakes everything without the burn-in weakness that is.

heil hitler xD

Unless the screen size is 27 inches or above, 1080p is indistinguishable. The real tragedy here, is the 31 inch piece of shit brand that OP bought. His image is going to come out blurry as all hell.

32 inch for a 1080p monitor is too big. it's already edging it for a 1440p monitor,

One thing to consider, is if your rig is even capable of hitting framerates near 240 FPS for the games you want to play. 240hz is not too noticable an increase, but if your framerates are in the 100s range it won't matter anyway.

>Until OLED overtakes everything without the burn-in weakness that is.

burn-in is a natural consequence of OLED and cannot be fixed. Computer displays will skip over it, to MicroLED, which will be humanity's first ever perfect display technology more or less. no weaknesses.

>Unless the screen size is 27 inches or above
op's screen is 31.5", he goofed

what about miliseconds?`

some have 4 millisecond delay, some 1

big differences there?

>All the cope replies to this

1080plets are pathetic.

Simple bias lighting fixes most lesser forms of BLB and glow, any bright white/orange light should do. Also I just recently fixed a stuck green subpixel by unplugging my monitor completely for a few days and then plugging it directly into the wall and not into a surge protector and that literally fixed it and it's been fine for 3 weeks.

agreed, even 27 inch 1080p gets pretty blurry given how close you sit to one. grab a 24 inch 1080p/240hz panel, or save up for a 1440p if you really want 32 inches

I use I7-8700 and GTX 1080, I don't usually play more modern games, since im happy with my current rig.

thread yesterday about monitors, everyone was saying get this one, ordered mine today for £330

This is what am waiting for, if mLED has also no input lag like with CRT, I don't care if I have to bust $2000 on one of them, I"ll get it. And finally displays can once again be at the top like CRTs. Even though we had one entire decade to deal with shitty LCDs, LEDs, etc.

this.
I could buy 4k 144hz but I'm not convinced its worth my money.

>Also I just recently fixed a stuck green subpixel by unplugging my monitor completely for a few days and then plugging it directly into the wall and not into a surge protector and that literally fixed it and it's been fine for 3 weeks.
Hmm, I'll give that a shot.
Mine is in a storm protector, and we have had power outages that could have fucked things up not too long ago.

I mean overall it it not a dealbreaker to me, it is less noticable than a speck of dust usually.
