You have to keep in mind that they expected this game not to fail. So they would've shoved cringy feminst stuff anyway.
Most products are too big to fail nowadays so they always stuff them with shoved in diversity. This game however is a genuine failure through and through. That trailer and character are not going to bring in new customers at all that they desperately need.

Well to be fair people did actually like these characters in their original runs. Problem is Marvel caught on and milked them dry in the comics before they ever had a chance tor really grow organically beyond their initial burst of popularity while at the same time taking way too long to capitalize on it in any other medium which is what led to this and the upcoming barrage of Marvel shows centered around characters that were popular with comic fans for a year or so a decade ago.

Roster is everything in a Marvel game. If you're not focusing on the heavy hitters out of the gate, you've fucking failed on a basic level. Kate Bishop is, at best, worthy to be included as an alt. skin for Hawkeye. And that's saying something when Hawkeye is low on the list of characters who should be added.
Literally everybody from the MCU should have been a primary focus first because of massive brand appeal and normie knowledge.
