Are there any actually good PC gamepads that arent overpriced razershit?

8bitdo m30

No. Use a Xbox controller like the rest of us.

dualshock 4. steam has built in support for all modern controllers and can even change the onscreen prompts on some games

DS4 or dualsense.

just get an xbone controller desu
offbrand shit is almost never worth it
maybe if you want to play retro/fighting games and nothing else

I find the switch pro controller is the most comfortable, but had some input delay, whereas the xbox one controller isn't as comfy but works well.

Thinking about getting this thing but I can't find shit on it. No video or review anywhere.

just use a ps4 controller, getting cheaper used
on bluetooth the input lag rivals wired fight sticks, it's pretty good

Xbox series x controller is best general use controller, as was its father before it, as was its father before

Chads, where we at?
Gyro with 20+hours of battery. Why wouldn't you?

Just use the dualshock 4, or even dualsense once that gets full support

I got a SN30 Pro+. No complaints. Solid controller and it works well out of the box with everything I've thrown at it.

the new xbox controllers have much worse build quality than the 360 era. the micro usb port gets loose after a while and makes the wired connection go in and out during gameplay

do people 3d print controllers?

the new controllers are USB type C now

Hit or miss. My Xbone controler is still standing strong after a year while my PS4 controler, which still works, has a loose USB so is therefore unusable

Some good controllers have started to come out of China recently. 8BitDo, GameSir, FlyDigi. Ask on /csg/ they might be able to point a good one.

Ps controllers are ass. So much sony fanboyism here

Why would you use a controller without drivers lol

This complaint is and has always been related to misuse. Also begs the question why would you ever use the port? Get a pack of four AAs and a charger poor fuck

oh yeah i meant the xbone era i dont have the next gen

why would i bother wasting money on AAs when the thing is always plugged in my PC anyway? and how do you misuse a video game controller's usb port?

I've used both xbone and ds4 and I can tell you for sure the ds4 is much better. Plus they're much cheaper
>Why would you use a controller without drivers lol
It just works on Steam. If you don't use it there's DS4Windows

Why would you plug a controller in in 2020

Ps4 controller is straight ass and a regression. Ugly and cramping to use

Xbox series x controller 39.99 at best buy right now there is no other choice

It doesn't "just work" on steam whatsoever you have to use big picture or steam controller configurer which causes problems in some games

>Ugly and cramping to use
Lay off the sausages burger-san.

DS4 it is. I'm about to buy another one as a backup for the time when mine breaks and they are no longer sold.

XB1 controller just works

I recommend:
The XBOX ONE controller
DS4 Controller
Cheaper options
Xbox 360 controller
Nacon wired DS4 controller

8bitDo is surprisingly good for its price and it's Taiwan sweatshop-tier name.

A wireless receiver for xbox 360 controllers costs $2.

yes
xbox one controller with adapter so you can play wirelessly
i bought it 2 years ago and shit is good, you only need to buy AA batteries but two batteries will make your controller work for over 2 weeks of daily gaming

I had one for about a day but returned it. The sticks and face buttons feel great, and the overall shape of the controller is comfortable, but those chucklefucks at Hori decided to put screw holes on the back right above the grips where your fingers rest, so the entire time you're holding the controller you have to deal with your fingers rubbing up against the holes and it gets irritating after a while. The L1/R1 buttons are also really low profile and mushy as fuck, so not great for games that use those buttons a lot.

>those chucklefucks at Hori decided to put screw holes on the back right above the grips where your fingers rest
And you're talking about the new Horipad, correct? Also thanks for the info.

Yes, the controller in that image.

Reminder Xinput is fucking cancer and the death of DInput harms us all.

That's disappointing. I love the xbox layout but I hate how small the surface area of the sticks feel. The Horipad sticks looked a little bigger.

I'm considering one how does the gyro work on PC?
