MGS games are the exception to what he was saying since those stories are very heavily politically based and often directly involve politicians. No one is going to screech about a game like Red Alert or Tropico being political, but they will when you have companies like Ubisoft making games about ancient history and changing art and other shit at the time to be more "inclusive" when the games also feature an educational mode without combat that they're trying to get schools to use to teach kids about ancient history.
