Started Bayonetta for the first time a couple nights ago and finished it this morning. And now im having post game depression. Why the fuck did enjoy this game much more than DMC 4 and 5? The game is over 10 years old and yet as an new player i consider it an absolute treasure of a game. Just how the fuck did Kamiya-San do it?
Am i really about to buy a switch just for Bayo 2? Is there any other option to play it?
It's damn amazing isn't it? I don't know much about emulators, but if you don't go that route then Switch / Wii U is the only way to get to Bayo 2.
It's not perfect, many will say that the gameplay in 1 is superior because 2 has things that handicapped it, but I still recommend you play it. Afterwards, you might also want to try out Wonderful 101. They're quite the ride
I just finished 2 the other day and enjoyed it immensely more than 1.

>more than DMC4 Fair enough I guess they're both pretty flawed games >5 Cringe

I’m the opposite. This game doesn’t have the same satisfying punch that the DMC games have and feels more like I’m fighting millions of pieces of paper falling through the sky.
Jackson Wood
congrats you liked it more because its easier spamming witch time and you played on easy. scrub
Nathaniel Hill
Play Bayonetta 2 on Yuzu!

5 is overrated by zoomers.
Landon Jenkins
And the game itself as a whole is overall a thousand times better than 1.
Carson Foster
Thank fucking god im not the only one that feels this way. 5 is a serviceability game. However the only reason its been propelled to its current status is because the fanbase was starved for a proper dmc after the ninja theory's flop of a game.

I actually enjoyed Devil May Cry more than Bayonetta. You'd think it'd be with Bayonetta since I played it first, but there is something about Devil May Cry that intrigues me more.
>spamming witch time How? Everytime i tried to do this i got blown up

>turned equillibrium into a game kamiya is a genuis

1 was the better game. Maybe because I played one after the other but nothing really felt surprising or amazing as 1, to me the action didn’t seem to evolve much from the first game in my opinion. I don’t think it deserved the 10/10 ratings it got, it wasn’t a bad game i think I just expected more. Was kinda mad at myself for snubbing the first game on 360 for so long despite owning it for 4-5 years before playing the Switch port.

bayo 2 feels so much better than one and you feel it instantly, even if the hardware is inferior
Brody Walker
2 has a better combo system but the levels are horribly places. Not to mention that umbran climax is extremely broken
>5 >Cringe graphics and redesigns are disgusting. V was so fucking shit and a waste of dev time. the level design is shit and the game lacks content. the retcons and inconsistency is retarded. without mods the few new mechanics are underdeveloped, badly implemented and don't give non-casual players enough control. the new boss design of having chicken shit bosses that run and warp 50 yards away then spam projectiles sucks and takes all the intensity out of combat.
>the new boss design of having chicken shit bosses that run and warp 50 yards away then spam projectiles sucks and takes all the intensity out of combat.
Cavaliere was the undisputable best boss fight of 2019.
Bayonetta is easily my favorite modern game, I'm usually more of a boomer who hangs on /vr/ and finds newer games unappealing, but Bayonetta hit the right spot between being a modern game while still having a very retro game ethos to it. DMC is good too but I find Bayo also a lot more appealing in terms of characters, lore, aesthetics and music. Never played Bayo 2 but I'm also probably going to buy a switch whenever Bayo 3 is finally released and treat myself also with Bayo 1 and 2 for it I 100%'d the PS3 version
>Why the fuck did enjoy this game much more than DMC 4 and 5? Different people at different studios made them. They have almost nothing to do with each other.

>spamming witch time >on easy only one of these statements is correct sir
DMCfags have always been annoying smug cunts case and point

I liked the story and the core gameplay of 1 more than 2. But I liked the weapons and shorter minigame segments in 2. Like I felt they were close in quality all the same, I'd replay either happily, I think I'd like to find a mod to put 2's weapons in the steam version of 1 though
James Morris
I unironically could not get good at this game or others like it; always around up button mashing in the end like a tard.
Isaac Campbell
I like bayo more too. Probably because it's goofy and stylish

>nothing that new, essentially copy and pasted DMC4 Vergil again with a few new abilities >story incoherent DT >complete loss of power house presence he had in DMC3 >no separate story >dumb as fuck kill all screens that are boring when you use them more than 10 times, v's is the worst offender >still has the inferior Beowulf and Yamato launch moves from 4 even though 3's was better >Sin DT is just DT and Zig Forums has the nerve to continue to fellate this franchise
DMC5 is legitimately dogshit. All those rescorces spent on visuals instead of that floaty as shit gameplay and empty environments with a literal who the fuck cares story about a plant. Just remake 3 already ffs
