Thinking of getting anything in the sales?

I'm really enjoying AoC and PMD. I play a little AC every day. Looking forward to when it starts snowing. I probably won't get anything on sale. I have a few games I want to go back to.

>tabletop mode
I wish I could enjoy it but the screen is way too fucking small for tabletop mode to be viable.

Picked this up while ago and I'm just now giving it a go.
I don't love it. The story mode is basically just a run-through of the plot from the show, which is alright but all the missions are so short and you're constantly being interrupted with cutscenes. But the tank combat is pretty fun when the game does let you control the tanks. I'm hoping the alternate game modes are better.

Same. It works well in some games though.

Playing Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. It's my first Monster Hunter. I'm just doing the training quests right now.
I've also been playing Breath of the Wild and I can't beat the stupid final Trial of the Sword. Holy fuck it seems impossible.
All in all, having a good time.

mine's coming in the mail, got 6 games to start off with

-smash
-kart
-odyssey
-botw
-three houses
-pokemon

excited to work through all of those and branch out afterwards.

do you trade in your physical games or hang onto them?

I only play it that way in bed with it near my face. It's big enough close up.

GOTY picross S5

Picked up Hades and I've been enjoying it a lot.
Been thinking about getting Three Houses but I've never played FE so idk.

Nice haul user. What will you be playing first?

does AC extend to anything more gameplay/objectivewise than "you live in a cute world and make a cute house"?

first like 2 weeks in realtime is the storyline with things you need to do in order then after that you're completely free

Well, you can terraform the island. There's not much else, unfortunately. I still get some enjoyment out of it but I'm disappointed they didn't put more things to do in the game.

I bought a Lite because I wanted a purely handheld console.

How cringe am I?

i think it's gotta be zelda, right? it just feels synonymous with the switch. my buddies said they want to unlock characters in smash w/ me, so i'll probably be doing that over christmas break

what are some indie eshop games exclusive to the switch that i definitely need to check out?

Golf Story

Nothing atm. The switch is such a shit system
Do you mean the original game, or 3 Houses? If it's the latter, I'd say it is one of the best Switch games, top three, even if it is ugly as sin and looks like a PS2 title.

you bought the version that fits your use case, doesn't seem cringe.

the idea of taking out joycons and doing local multiplayer seems neat though

Got NMH on sale, it was worth buying again. Been wanting Hyrule Warriors for a while but don't want to go to FUCKING GAMESTOP to get it. Gonna wait on Age of Calamity to get a Definitive Edition since I'm sure there will be plenty of DLC. Also, Lumines!

return pokemon user
this is a warning, it's a mediocre game.

The NFS Hot Pursuit remaster is the best racing game on this console right now desu.

i'm getting it as a gift from a relative. down to just beat it and trade it in for money towards a different game. are the rest of the games i'm getting solid enough choices?

Whens the next weeb game? Havent played a thing on this since xeno 1 de and xeno 2 before that

I hope you got that for 10 dollars or less. That halfassed excuse of a remaster is far too overpriced for the effort they put in.

>BotW
Very overrated, but it deserves the praise. It's very fun, but don't go expecting a typical Zelda game as there are no traditional "dungeons" outside of say the beasts
>Kart
Good especially with friends
>Smash
same as above
>Odyssey
If you love platformers you'll love this game.
>3H
Great game, multiple paths. There's micromanaging but not too bad. It's sort of ugly but yeah.

I'd say solid choices overall, with the weak Pokemon pick otherwise.

NMH is pretty weeb. Other than that, I dunno, I guess Disgaea 6 or Bravely Default II.

I want to play xbc2 but it feels wrong buying it on eshop since i have physical xbcde
Why is my brain so autistic

how are the metro games on switch?

for 3H, is it recommended to do 4 runs to see all the content, or are they all relatively similar? are they all the same difficulty level? is there a true path?

I have XB2 physical but XBDE digital and nothing autistic about it. Why would you not want to own things you like physically?

i want to have sex with a nintendo switch

You bought a switch

4 Runs is totally up to you. 2 routes are almost copy paste of each other with some differences (one fight missing and the final boss being different). The other 2 are very different. The 1st half of the game is the same for all routes just with a different PoV.

Same difficulty for all routes.
No true path.

Yeah pretty much. I haven't touched the DLC but paths generally differ. You also gets different characters per house which is interesting. Dimitri and bowguy are basically very similar however.

What are some good 2D hack n slash games? I got the messenger and it was a fun platformer (not too big of a fan of the "metroidvania" part but still cool), but that's more of a platformer, I wanted something more focused on combat. I've already got Hades.

>NMH 1/2 are digital and not physical
I want these to be physical so bad but don't want to get my hopes up or if they do come, get jewed by LRG

Can the new switch be home brewed yet? Bought a switch for my kids last year for Xmas and I’m not about to pay $60 for a 3 year old Mario game.

>BoTW
Best open world game I have played, but I don't like the genre. Overrated, yes. 8.5/10
>Kart
Fuck Nintendo for charging $60 for Wii U games, you're a tool if you pay that prize for them.
>Smash
Good in person. Online is shit. DLC 1 is great, DLC pack 2 has been meh.
>Odyssey
IMO THE most overrated Switch game. I think the core idea of the game, the capture mechanic, is cool, but it has the worst design of the 3D Mario games. I would only put it above 64 given it has almost no camera issues. It's a 7/10 at best.
Every playthrough goes through the same story beats in the first half of the game. I think the best way to alleviate this is by ramping up the difficulty every time you play. Most people are really autistic about what they like and what they don't in terms of story, so I hope you aren't someone that say, loves ONLY the Blue Lion route and is so autistic you refuse to play Black Eagles. The church route is the least interesting one to me. The DLC is worth it if you just LOVE the gameplay. The four new characters are cool, I'd say Balthus is the weakest one, the rest are interesting.

Blasphemous, good luck getting it physical. I got it when it came out on LRG now scalpers are selling it for a ton on ebay.

I'd also recommend Hollow Knight but that one is more of a metroidvania.

I bought Luigi's Mansion 3, Three Houses and Trials of Mana as A birthday present to myself

Was thinking about getting a couple eshop picks. I never played Okami on the PS2 so was thinking about getting that. Anyone play Crysis on Switch yet?

general agreement on the messenger is that 8bit is the best part and it falls off afterwards
red box switch and switch lite are hackable with the TX modchip if you can find one, 2 head bosses recently got arrested so their future is unknown
sciresm creator of atmosphere cfw has cracked the modchip's DRM and is still working on it for public release so you can still use them even if TX disappears
