Death Stranding is a good game.
Street Fighter V is a good game, although for several years it was objectively pretty bad. At launch it was basically a scam.

Shadow was the last good Sonic game and it constantly gets barraged by meme-worthy criticism by people who either don't know how to play it, can only come up with it being "edgy" as a critique, or people who parrot opinions and make things up on the spot to seem alternative. Cursing aside it's the Adventure 2 continuation everyone wants but no one accepts because "edge".

I don't care about the edge, the levels are just garbage.
Maybe it would have been acceptable enough if it didn't have the objectives, but that is not the universe we live in.

Dark Souls 2 is the worst souls game but the funny thing is souls spawned an entire genre, of which there's 50+ games, shitloads of indies and a few AAAs and none of them are better than Dark Souls 2, except possibly Nioh.

So I think to claim DS2 is objectively bad means you have higher than reasonable standards, just based on the existence of all the souls clones that are worse.

The Ark levels with Maria were probably the only garbage levels. Most of them were well-paced and made use of all the mechanics depending on the routes you took. They were fine, aside from being kinda greyish or oversaturated.

People who played Dark Souls 2 and "do not understand the hate" never played the game on release, cared about player interaction, or gave a flying fuck about any sort of series convention that was done better in the prior titles and future titles. They dont grasp the justified disappointment from what was shown.

People rip apart Dark Souls 3 all the time for being a hollow retread of 1, but I would infinitely take that over some fucking half baked, half budget, rushed out bullshit that pandered to fucking crybabies when it came to their own player interaction. Check out the way of the blue and blue sentinels, cool things right? nice ideas meant to completely fuck invaders up the ass. Oops, invasions are fucking absolutely nothing, too bad, can't have fun with these ideas. Check out these ratlords! Oh, wait, that area is not only optional but there is absolutely fuck all of a reason to even go down there on any playthrough, and its fucking short. Belltowers? Also fucking absolutely tiny, and Belfry Sol has an assfuck garbage layout. Look at all these cool builds! Wanna shitpost as an invader, well, enjoy going through a layer of neckbeard tryhard pvp where you either cheesed with dual avelyns or meta builds or ran something more fun and got strictly outclassed by mundane washing poles. Invasions in which your orbs are lost if the person you invaded decided to not use any of the 3 or 4 different ways to completely stop invaders from coming in to begin with just to unplug their ethernet cord when you did invade thus making the first two aforementioned convents useless

Half of the DLCs are lazy bullshit, one boss of which was literally "DUUUH REMEMBER THE FOREST GANKSQUADS IN DARK SOULS 1, REMEMBER DARK SOULS 1 POISE?". The changes to the game didnt fix the fundamental flaws, in fact all they did was copy and paste a bunch of enemies and say they made their piss easy game harder. Fuck Dark Souls 2, Fuck its defenders, and FUCK you.

My favorite part is the retarded Hero meter that flatout works against you in some of the elimination levels.

Anyone that actually likes 3d platformers will gladly tell you the level design is abyssmal. Huge open spaces of nothing. Collectables thrown around with no logic or thought behind it. Lots of parts that are dull and boring, and the environments feel generic.

SOTFS is far worse designed, because there is no thought actually put into the changes, and fixed nothing that was actually wrong with the game short of it being locked to 30fps, which wasnt even a proper fix to begin with given the issues on release. I get when you rerelease a game, you cant just fucking change everything around, however, there were easy chances to fix ANY of the fundamental issues that made the whole covenant system collapse like a house of cards, and they didnt do it. Around 40% of the DLC is passable, if that. People give bethesda a lot of shit for copy pasted areas and dungeons, AS THEY SHOULD, but copy and pasting enemies to "add challenge" is no fucking better. I wish I wasnt a fucking retard that bought this game twice and said "yes, its ok to settle for less, let me reward you with my money"

Couldn't they at least adapt or? Or like switch what the hero and dark meters do on a level-by-level basis? That's fucking retarded to give the player something like that but only make it applicable to a handful of stages if you're trying to complete the hero mission.

Regardless, it's dumb to give you a powerup that's often completely counterintuitive to the mission. But I could forgive that and the tedious scavenger hunt missions if the game at least felt good to play like SA1 and 2 did.
