How would (You) design giant boss fights?
Juan Bell
Xavier Lewis
depends on how the rest of the game is
but just a pure boss battle? idk i'd wanna make it real big and flashy, put the player in a huge mech and destroy massive buildings and level a city, make em feel powerful
Hunter Robinson
shadow of the colossus
Landon Fisher
basically EDF
Ryder Brooks
I wouldn't implement them, because they are ALWAYS shit.
Justin Phillips
I've never watched a single Godzilla flick except for the shitty remake and the newest "reboot" one. What am I missing out on?
Aiden Rodriguez
all the giants would be cute girls and it'd be impossible to win
Jeremiah Gutierrez
Best way is to have multiple body parts that can be individually destroyed.
Ryan Green
don't know which ones you are talking about, but Shin godzilla is 10/10, the godzilla 2014 one is a solid 7, and the latest one is a solid 8.5/10 because they really went all out with the fan service.
Michael Wilson
I just honestly think it's best, and most accurate AND fun, if the giant flying enemy never comes down so you just have to shoot it with weak arrows until it dies.
Noah Nelson
Screw the impossible to win part I want to rip off there clothes
Jace Mitchell
Aiden Richardson
1) the fight takes place in a circular arena
2) the fight is heavily scripted with phases
3) first seek points are the hands. Then a quick time event triggers
4) last week point ia the head that you have to expose after a quick time event
5) killing the boss unlocks the achievement "The bigger they are..."

Heisei Godzilla is best Godzilla and Biollante is probably top 3 kaiju. I remember owning the Godzilla vs Biollante VHS around 2001/2002 and thinking I was a part of some "underground" thing, because nobody I knew at school knew anything about Godzilla, the internet wasn't nearly as prevalent, and you didn't see these movies outside of video rental places like blockbuster. Good times, mang.
Mason Rivera
this but evangelion
Chase Jones

Jonathan Rogers
which one is good then
Wyatt Rivera
Depends on the boss and the setting/context I guess. But in general, like lots of spectacle and challenge for the player. Many games are known for their bosses, so may as well make it the challenge and the reward in an of itself.
Ayden Perry
yeah but now (You) can unshit them!
Luke Gray
Weight.
Brayden Campbell
Isaac Reyes
Well it depends what you mean by giant
Jonathan Evans
bump
Chase Wright
>open world with a lot of destructible parts
>differents sized monsters, from human to Godzill-like
>solo character game : regular juggle/special grab Nero DMC style gameplay, you can change size at will
>multiplayer game : 6 or 8 classes, you can mount monsters like Dragon's Dogma
there
Camden Cook
the remake gave us sexy godzilla so its cool in my book
Caleb Brooks
Wrong
Levi Sullivan
that's basically prince of persia
Jaxson Kelly
You'd probably want to ask on Zig Forums. Even then you'd have a hard time finding someone who's seen all or most of the Godzilla movies. There must be over 50 of them. I downloaded a torrent with the whole collection in it a couple of years ago thinking I was somehow going to watch them all but I just watched a bunch of the cheesy 60s/70s ones and then a couple of the less cheesy 80s ones and called it quits. At least for the early movies you're not missing too much besides maybe dancing Godzilla and the iherent enjoyability of watching guys in rubber suits wrestle eachother and kick down model buildings. The stories and characters are always shit and you never quite get as much giant monster action as you're craving.
