WoW Shadowlands

Thinking about returning to WoW after more than 4 years. I have played from Wotlk to Legion, quitting shortly after its release, taking pauses during almost all Pandaria and the second half of WoD (worst expansion imho). Is it worth? I would be more a causal player now, rather than a guild raider.

It's worse than WoD currently. They have no idea which direction to take it in and are just throwing on story justifications for timegating and borrowed power.
The first chance for them to do a completely original and new villain ends with a complete wet fart.
Every afterlife sucks and goes against already described afterlives that would have been more interesting anyway.
Characters that have no business being alive (Helya) or relevant (Draka) have already popped up with little explanation, they're just there and important.
Quests are the same as they've been since WoD.
Dungeons are brain dead.
I have no idea about the raid but apparently it's only barely functional and was still being fixed up until the week before release.
The new customization options are neat for all of twenty seconds.
The new starting zone is laughably fucking awful.
They're already setting up for the NEXT big bad guys, and the upcoming story events are already easy as fuck to see coming the moment you get to the new city.
The new city also sucks.

20 hours of story, new zones and new characters.

Endless weeks of grinding reputation, Anima and other shit just so you can push the story further. If you are into grinding world quests then I guess you are in luck.

>First week
>6 different currencies + Honor and Conquest
uuhm...

It's the best expansion since MoP. Basically legion but better.

>best expansion since MoP
why are MoP fags such tasteless bugmen?

they aren't, but hating blizzard is like a second job for you people so i'm sure you've done the appropriate mental gymnastics.

hating blizzard is the duty of every sane gamer

in hindsight, wod really wasnt that bad..

ok gamer, thanks for the insight.

No its not worth paying for wow now

It's the same shit WoW has always been, but the lunatics here will try to convince you it's totally different and worse.

Garrisons, wich killed the social aspect of the game, cancelled Farahlon, time-travel lore mess, nonsense character behaviors ("Draenor is free!" Grom and everyone being cool with him when he was the one starting the war)... WoD was shit man.

So niggerlands has flopped, everyone agrees on this, how likely is it that the current lineup of trannies and autists gets purged from Blizzard, and we get someone actually competent designing the next expansion?

WoD had almost no content

Post-WoD expansions just suck ass in general

He's right. Blizzard are god awful and their game should not be $15 a month.

0%

MOP heralded the end of WoW and you dumb fags still stand by it. It made everything we hate about the current game normal, and it seems to reliably be MoP bug men that praise that shit. Fuck you for ruining my go-to game, filthy chinklet.

>thinking blizzard will ever acknowledge they're doing something wrong
This is the company that jabbed fun at the audience when they got booed on stage for diablo immortal.

>competent
>blizzard

Shadowlands isn’t worth the effort:

Covenants will be fucking busted in a couple weeks, with some classes just breaking the game open. It’s almost like 3 stacking power systems when Blizzard can’t even handle 1 might be an issue

Torghast is just island expeditions crossed with mythic affixes. It’ll be boring as fuck within 2 months.

The Maw needed to be reworked 3 times over the past month because it was shot. Guess what, it’s still hot garbage.

Blizzard was still finalizing levelling speed and raid mechanics up until 2 weeks ago, despite the delay. That doesn’t bode well for their ability to handle this expansion.

No new class
No new professions
No new race

Wait until a decent expansion, not worth

>Wait until a decent expansion, not worth
That ain't gonna happen chief.

The closest we got to good was legion. Everything has been bad since Cataclysm ended. The game is over.

I’m still holding out hope, I’m just not stupid enough to get my money stolen again like in BfA.

Was BfA worse than WoD?

everything's been bad asnce cataclysm's last raid tier came out*

>Garrisons, wich killed the social aspect of the game
only if you had no guild and no friends

Wod had nice pvp gearing system.

I agree. Played 2 weeks of BFA and felt cheated out of my money.

Yeah, the end of Cataclysm. Game has been in a tail spin ever since. The only ones that like it are MoP fags pining for 'MoP days'; it's become their entire benchmark for if the game is 'good' or not. You'll notice that MoP fags are such bug people, they cannot dream of days of the game being better than MoP in any fashion, and will continue to hold it as the standard. Can you blame Blizzard for designing shit for bug people, when the bug people are chanting 'bug people game bug people game give us bug people game'? You'll notice they lack the critical thinking involved of literally any other player that can go 'Oh well, the levelling experience in classic was cool, but the heroic dungeons in TBC made for better end game content, but I think WOTLK had some of the most interesting areas to level in', it's just 'muh mop gib us OP pls class wuz balanced then'.

MoP fags KILLED WoW.

shadowlands is a decent expac, i guess. the problem is still with the generally pretty shitty wow community.
>everybody acts like they are a mythic multi glad cutting edge raid leader
>guilds are just a front for twitch/discord streamers
>trade chat is 95% level one toons selling dungeon runs
blizz doesnt care anymore

>discord streamers

yep, not really sure what youre trying to imply here. every streamer has a discord

*since ICC ended

>All major villains of the past have been killed/reformed/imprisoned
>New expansion takes us into afterlife
>Barely any content featuring legendary dead characters
What was even the point of having this set in the underworld then?

>The game isn’t the problem, the community is the problem!!!
What kind of an argument is this? How is a community that wants to be as good at the game as possible a bad thing? Maybe there are deeper design issues at fault, and not literally millions of players?

it's extremely common for players to think they're smarter and more knowledgeable about the game than they actually are.

>How is a community that wants to be as good at the game as possible a bad thing?
Because they're shit and unable to improve, yet act like they're in a "world firsts" guild.
