I never played VCS, but I did play LCS and I can say that he's probably right. LCS was just forgettable in every way. The only thing I remember is some Manhunt-esque snuff program set on a ship, but absolutely nothing about the story stuck with me.

I have VCS on ps2. It’s a really odd game. It’s got some interesting jank like if you shoot someone in the head when they are in a car, the animation of the being pulled out of the car starts playing for example.

It also has this business empire building mechanic which was ok. Oh yeah and you get to see the Lance Vance dance.

Story is ok but the missions are fun

I liked it. Was a good foray into mobile GTA.

Recently got 100% in this game. Easily the worst 3D era GTA game. It's forgettable, and the story is boring as hell. Tony is somehow more forgettable than Claude.

I emulated the PS2 version, it ran like crap but it's my understanding that's just how the game is. I did play it on PPSSPP a couple years ago but I don't remember much difference in performance

It's OK if you want to more GTA3. Toni is extremely lame though.

i guess it's worth a playthrough if you like the series, and especially 3. the new vehicles and slight changes to the map are interesting at first. if you're gonna play 3d era though, just play san andreas because it does everything the previous games do and more.
