Insane 6 lap races? You mean the ones on the airport? Those were rather easy if you had good cornering, those assholes never had a chance.
Meanwhile in MW I did the second or third pink slip race and I was at least three or four seconds faster than the other asshole, when suddely I saw the marker on the course map literally go lightspeed to catch up with me and then speeding ahead of me with like 500 mph.
Funny thing is, I also played MW on release I don't remember having such problems, but having more problems with Underground 1 and 2, which I didn't have now. Pretty weird.

My entire Need For Speed experience is about an hour or so of the first Underground. I love racing games a lot but for whatever reason this series never appealed to me. What would be a good starting point? I have a copy of Hot Pursuit 2 for the PS2.

Uhhh, weren't those just boss races? Or was it those elimination races? As I said, replaying Underground 1, I really didn't find it all too difficult, hell, I usually did the regular course races on Hard.

Why? You just have to get the Trueno, push everything towards acceleration and cornering and nobody will ever stand a chance. Hell, I regularly lapped everyone up to the third or even second position.
