Hi Zig Forums

Hi Zig Forums.
I was stuck with a semi-potato laptop and a lot of work for 3+ years and pretty much couldn't play any of the newer, especially more hardware-demanding games.
Now I have finally assembled a high-end PC and have some time off. What should I play?

Watch Dogs Legion.

apex legends, pretty demanding game, so it will look nice on your pc (atleast if you have a 1650 and up)

>assembled a high-end PC
That was the real game.

Red dead redemption 2. It's pretty demanding, but looks pretty as fuck.

Hunt showdown works too.

When I said high-end, I meant it.
Managed to get my hands on a 3080.

Rdr2, AC origins, AC Valhalla, TR:RotR, FFXV Royal edition, Hitman,

I hope you did a proper safety check OP

Heroes of Might and Magic III

It's been more than 5 years since I built my PC. What happened to HDDs/SSDs? Are they on the motherboard now instead of like a box thing at the front of your chassis in a rack?

What kind of games do you like as a whole? RPGs? Shooters? 3rd person action games with stats? Grindy games? Cinematic games?

Pretty much anything except sports and racing games, but RPGs are probably my favourite genre.

Typo’d, meant 3090

Well lets see, we have console ports, strategy games, and indies. Take your pick. If you were hoping to actually make use of that 3080 then you've been out of touch. It's not like we get shit like Crysis anymore.

Dwarf Fortress

Well, not a whole lot of really popular RPGs that stress graphics/hardware out as of yet, not counting the imminent release of Cyberpunk. Witcher 3 has a lot of graphics settings that you can crank up and it's a pretty good RPG.

The Divinity: Original Sin series is also another popular one that isn't terribly difficult to get into.

Monster Hunter: World is another AAA entry that you can crank up the graphics with. It's been described as an RPG and more like an action game with persistent stats (boosted entirely by equipment). It's pretty much entirely made out of boss fights, and you slowly get better at fighting said bosses until you get good enough equipment to fight and kill other bosses.

Microsoft Paint

HDDs are the same, and you can still buy 2.5" SSD's, but now you also have faster M.2 form factor SSD's that slot directly into your mobo.

Shitty RPGMaker porn games, the only worthwhile PC exclusives.

It's one of my favourite games of all time, if not top1. Already downloaded it and added a bunch of mods like HD reworked project.

I probably wasn't very clear about that, but I'm not looking for only very hardware-demanding stuff.

Is there any difference between the ones that are off the board and the ones that are directly attached to it? From my little research, it seems like there's no difference. If anything, seems more convenient and compact to just get the ones that go on your motherboard.

whhats that?

I'll switch to 5600x when they're available.

The ones that slot directly into the board have higher bandwidth.
In gaming the difference is not very noticeable, though perhaps that will start changing now that new consoles are finally using SSDs.

Modern Warfare

Forgot the image lol

Good to know. Been thinking about building a new pc but it seems with PCIe 4 coming with the new graphic cards, that it's an inopportune time to build one.

painful death

Among us and all the other low-resource pulling games.

Very nice. What CPU cooler are you using?
