If anything, I wanted Abby to win at the end.
Abby gave Ellie two chances to leave it alone AND the final fight at the end was instigated by Ellie who tried to shiv Levi, the person that advocated for Abby to spare Ellie and Dana. Abby was a terrible person, but even then she still didn't threaten to kill a kid for her own sake.

You literally mercilessly kill a pregnant woman in this game and yet we're supposed to feel bad for Abby because her dad was killed by Joel.

You were supposed to witness Ellie's decent into the darkness after the murder of a beloved character that she was close to and also see the perspective of the killer and see that they have separate lives too, so when you see Ellie's world collide with theirs, you see everything isn't in black and white, and by Ellie killing Abby, she is no better.

The game needs about 24 hours to explain what can take a few minutes to write.

I still wanted to kill Abby. Everything was lost when she decided to set out again, she had already killed the life that Joel gave her, she had already lost her chance at forgiving him; her forgiving Abby didn't extend to that. When you aren't given the choice and see this, it was for nothing more than maybe stopping the memories of Joel's death.

The game would have been better if abbey partnered up with joel to see for herself if he deserved it and during several plot points she would see his ugly side, building up tension inside her and the story. You would never know when and if she actually pulled the trigger on him
