>is actually a good entry and different from the rest in a good way
>everyone tells you not to play it
Also, Yakuza thread I guess
Is actually a good entry and different from the rest in a good way
Playing it right now and it's just orphanage simulator
when does the game start?
that is the game
enjoy
Chapter 5
And fuck you the orphanage sections are great
It doesn't, you go back and forth to Kamurocho but it is always for drama that affects the orphanage. Orphan simulator persists the entire game.
Now you know how I feel when people say not to ever touch the ps2 games
The kiwami's will never be replacements for them
>is best girl
>that fucking title card drop
>ichiban finally gets enough sense knocked back into him to start seeing things for real now
It was just a really, really, really bad entry point to the series and unfortunately was most people’s first Yakuza game.
It's mostly because the fights are a huge pain in the ass.
Mine is fucking great though, easily the best villain until 7.
My kyodais
Yeah it was the worst part of the game hands down
Felt extremely shoehorned
Would've been better if they expanded the small town area and didn't go to Kamurocho.
The combat was iffy, but the game had its own identity to it until Kiryu changes out of his hawaiian shirt into his regular suit and you're back in the city.
>bosses constantly instablock any attack
Yeah fuck this game

Deadbeat dad of the year was cool as fuck.
I think the combat is fine, I'm on chapter 5 though so I bait blockers into attacking
One thing I dont understand that they ditched from 3 was the bloodied and battered enemies that look like kiryu just ran a steamroller over them
On later games they look fine even thought you just dislocated their shoulders and shoved their heads into a steel rail.
This game is just jab until you confirm a hit and drop kick their shit. If you try to get fancy they just super armor your butthole until you don't try anymore.
For me, it's A Scattered Moment (original version). I think the Kiwami version added too much, and something about those PS2-era sound effects from the fight adds soul
I haven’t played Y3 in ages but I do remember the combat looking way more brutal than in 0
Ryo's such a weird villain. It really feels like they forgot to give him some actual menacing plan that was threatening anybody. He just does a lot of super dickish things but ultimately he's serving the public interest, even if it's just because he's selfish. The biggest impact he was set to have on the world was wiping out the Tojo and Omi, but then they just decide to do that themselves for some reason.
I liked Yakuza 3.
haha
This song is really good, but I don't remember when it plays.
I'm actually surprised RGG writers touched on the subject of the social media age and its effect on public opinion through Ogasawara's conversation with Ichiban and the gang. It was pretty well-handled.
>ichiban finally gets enough sense knocked back into him to start seeing things for real now
I don't get why people say this, like it wasn't really any different to any other boss fight aside from the forced class change, you can still use all those wacky moves like poundmates or the orbital lazer.
Cute
0-6 are irrelevant, Yakuza 7 revived the series and won the western market. Best RGG game by far.
Ichiban > Kiryu
7 > 0 > 2 > 3 > 5 > 6 > 4 > 1
I like 6 a lot, but its ending really drags it down
I really liked Sawashiro for some reason. He had real presence whenever he was on screen. Guess it shows too with Masumi Arakawa.

Dont think. Imagine.
fuck braindead dvd player menu combat tho
Are you retarded
Hiroshma best common battle theme.
Is that the best you can say, clearly you have no point
If you couldn't tell what the game shoved right in your face I cannot help you
My point is that it wasn't special, the other boss fights play it straight as well

Possibly best track in the series.
Turn-BASED > Button Mashing
It's a slog. The movement feels bad, the combat is bad. The game is redeemed with chapters 10-12 but good luck telling someone that when halfway through the game they've finally completed "the intro" Rikiya is too good of a character, Joji is a very retarded plot device. Hamazaki isn't properly used until the end and 4
So this is what they meant by raising Haruka's trust level.
