Is stalker really worth playing? I liked Pathologic and E.Y.E, so i don't mind jank too much
is there a vr mod yet
Best we've got is Into the Radius, which is barely similar to Stalker. It's more likely that we'll see VR mods for the new one coming out.
wouldnt suprise me if the 2nd one IF its good gets proper vr support in a dlc or something
One of the main reasons I think the second has a chance in vr is because it's running on the unreal engine. Seems like a lot less work to implement vr in an engine that can support vr. Anyways I'd be more interested in what mod teams will do with stalker 2.
i think it is, the most annoying part is the low tier enemies who launch themselves at you
the anamolies and upgrading system is really neat
the atmosphere is unmatched also
I just use Webm For Retards, and adjust the settings until it looks good + fits 4chins' tiny file size limit.
I really wish this was a rhetorical question, but I guess you cannot be sure in the nu-Zig Forums of the 2020s.
Fuck yes they are. No matter the superficial similarities to the plethora of modern "survival" shooters out there, STALKERs are still their very own thing to this day.
Consult this Starting Guide,
then see the /vg/'s huge Stalker General for more tips and links:
Play in the release order.
Start with no mods - only latest patch, OR get the full "Starter Pack" first;
these contain bug-fixers and light visual mods that can help performance as well.
Leave big overhauls for later playthrougs. Avoid the "Complete" -mods.
Always play on MASTER difficulty for best realism and atmosphere, and disable crosshair.
Don't give up in the beginning! The starting gear sucks ass and first area can be a bit boring.
>I just use Webm For Retards
i did and look at it. looks like shit.
it looks great, bro.
Early game in SoC and CS are meh, with CS leaning more on being flat out bad. They both start you off with a shitty pistol that deviates significantly if you're not shooting something at point blank range. CoP starts you off with an AK74u, and feels like the easiest of the three titles to progress in equipment.
General advice from me is to find and stick with an AK in all three titles unless you find a weapon that you're confident that you can keep repaired and loaded, even if you're down on your luck. For a gun you can find off a dead body and maintain /upgrade on the cheap, it's decent. Expect to miss things
turn your sensitivity down or calm the fuck down half of those rounds are visibly missing the bugs that are basically not moving
alright. if you say so, bro. :3
I really do. Beats oldass 16-color / 10fps GIFs any day and night.
The only possible extra optimizations I could recommend are :
1) use the "high quality" mode, always.
2) lower the video framerate even more. Even as low as 24fps still looks "smooth" in a video format.

my sides
game?
I just experiment with ffmpeg with the commands listed on the /g/ wiki: wiki.installgentoo.com
absolutely.
IN A PERFECT WORLD
stalker 2 wouldn't have been a multi-plat, but this is not a perfect world
>he doesnt know
