Please stop. More polygons and higher res textures aren't a replacement for art direction. And I'd even say some of the gameplay choices are questionable. I'd recommend just emulating the original and, if you want, play with a high res texture pack that's faithful to the original.

You're wrong most of the art direction in the 3DS remakes was the right decision and throwing HD textures on primitive N64 models will make it even worse
I think people are using deep incorrectly. Each person here is using deep to mean something different. What exactly is this depth that it's lacking? Gameplay is standard for the time. But I think when people think of Majora's Mask they are thinking of story, characters, art direction, the foreboding atmosphere of the whole game. Characters have schedules, lives to live, they have their own problems to solve and many of them end sadly. There's an ever present sense of doom and gloom and foreboding. It's unlike any other Zelda game. It just hits a lot of "beats".
