all it needed was a bloodborne-type twist to be miyazaki's magnum opus
All it needed was a bloodborne-type twist to be miyazaki's magnum opus
Isn't the rock that mutated everyone of an alien origin? So it technically works.
No it fucking didn't. It accomplished that all on its own merit anyway.
well the twist is that immortality is just having a centipide in you
that was basically the centipedes and the fish people
Dragon
No, it needed a fight against an actual tengu that was optional, also the most difficult fight in soulsborne.
impurity being synonymous with a centipede isn't a twist in a Souls game
and those centipedes hatch from some white eggs that are given to you as "rice"
immortality meaning you have a giant centipede in you is a twist for a game that shows very little supernatural stuff until at least halfway though
Halfway? You could fight a headless ghost fuckface in the first like hour.
most people definitely don't find headless from the outskirts entrance
What the fuck really?
alright but it shouldn't count as a twist if the same ideas are in every game in the series
It did though with the fountain palace
no, this is another "the blood is actually period blood" tier theory that's based on nothing but a feeling that it would be gross and cool
How? It’s literally left or right from that area. I initially went left, got my cheeks clapped, and then went right.
what
Sorry, reverse those directions.
well how do you explain her pulling out rice out of nowhere and having to wait a period of time until the rice is ready again
Absolutely not.
because a lot of people miss the tiny ledge that you're supposed to grab while falling. There's the "turn back, you can't behead the headless" sign, and then the walkway is broken past that. It would be pretty easy for the average player to assume that you're not supposed to go there yet.
No that would've been stupid. centipedes are fine we don't need slugs.
if they're centipede eggs, how does kuro cook them and make rice balls?
I think what OP meant was that it just need ed to be Bloodborne to be Miyazakis magnum opus.
it's her blood obviously, the game isn't subtle about this, but that doesn't mean the rice is centipede eggs
>It would be pretty easy for the average player to assume that you're not supposed to go there yet.
Is that actually how people play games? They see an optional path and just don't explore it?
Hm. My first play through is so different from everyone. I was able to get the loli journey to the west ending my first time through and niggers on here just told me I was lying. It was literally just explore a lot and you can get it no problem.
playing it right now for the first time
about to fight the first polearm dude in the 3 years ago flash back where you keep all your items
Bloodborne didnt have a twist
sekiro was pretty popular, most of the people who played it probably haven't played ds1
enshin, I hope you have the mikiri counter
>Dark Souls invented secrets and optional areas
Doesn't it require you to return to a place or two you already visited? Think many missed by exploring and then not returning to old locations but just exploring new.
The twist happened when the monke stood up
