Xbox users

For any Xbox users, owners, players who lurk on Zig Forums, why? Why chose Xbox? I’m just curious. Why chose Xbox? Over lets say PlayStation?

gamepass, destiny, halo, sea of thieves and forza
not really interested in any game on ps curretly

Playstation is gay.

the user base is generally cool americans who smoke pot and do cool shit on the side

Game Pass and I’ve, as cringe as this sounds, have had brand loyalty to Xboxes.

Thought recently, I’m starting to consider PS5 more since I developed a taste for Japanese games

Because it's the only American console on the market.

I dunno. I was leaning hard towards SeX this time, especially after Bethesda, but if you have a good PC there is just no reason not to go with ps5

i bought a series x, the ori games and a while of gamepass for my cousin
>he doesn't care about exclusives
>im pretty sure more games for cheaper would be more fun to him than sony's exclusives, specially since hes not into very violent or difficult shit
>I bought the Ori collectors edition, so i had two free Ori games lying around so why not
>gamepass is cheaper than paying $70 for every game
>(((((On paper))))) Xbox cleary had better specs than PS5. I don't know what went wrong but its okay
>it doesnt take up a fuckton of space and fits one of the comfy spots in his shelf
i think i did the right choice

i dont like jap shit, but i do like halo and gears.

Wait, you mean I can't own both?

OG XBox had a few Star Wars games I liked and it was easy to quickly set up a Battlefront 2/Halo 2 LAN with friends.

Cities can rebuild

Sony get cocky every other gen. I'll grab a PS5 on the cheap in 3-5 years if Japan haven't actually dropped Sony. I don't give a shit about terrible AAA schlock first-party exclusives and I already have a PC, I just need a nice living room machine and the Series X has emulation, so that's a nice bonus.

I'm a playstation guy but the og xbox and early-mid 360 were pretty damn patrician. Kinect era to current era Xbox however has been terrible.

Honestly gamepass is a solid strategy and if you don't have a PC and only console game I can see why people would go with xbox. Im new to gamepass thou, how long do games stay on there? I would be annoyed if I was playing a game then it left

Bethesda and Obsidian and other companies owned by Microsoft

Dudebros* FTFY

Forza 2 was so fucking good

Remember Mountain Dew Livewire? Remember I Love Bees? There is one thing Microsoft has that makes compitition from Sony and Ouya impossible; an Arsenal Gear module concerning a list of fears for every American.

I don't know. There's just something about Xbox as a whole that appeals to me. I acknowledge that it has less games than Playstation and even pc but there's just a feeling that Xbox gives me that those platforms don't.

Its not sony.

I like the orignal Xbox but the Xbox Serise X can go fuck off for all I care

>how long do games stay on there
Depends on the game. Red Dead redemption was only up for a little bit, but other stuff stays for ages.
If you sign up for microsoft rewards they'll literally pay you to use bing and explorer and you can redeem your points for a month of gamepass.
You can also use the points for gift cards to random places.

All of those are on PC. Just get a PC

>pc
No.

I DL nier on my old xbone then set up gamepass on my PC and nier wasn't there. Do some games just not get put on PC or what?

50% controller, 49%% exclusives, 1% general aesthetic

Ninja Gaiden Black

this, along with any games you need to emulate

a lot of games don't get put up for PC sadly

I'm a burger

Series X will be my first Xbox from a mostly Nintendo/Sony guy. Gamepass on PC was so nice that it alone actually made me consider getting it over PS5. Quick resume also seems super cool and the backwards compatibility means more to me since I never had an Xbox so I have a massive backlog out of the gate. I also love the simplistic design of the system. I will be getting a PS5 eventually though, probably once the new Ratchet and Clank comes out. For now just playing my Switch and PC to buy time until mine arrives in a few weeks.

Halo and Gears of War

Yes, they're on PC these days. But they're designed as console games so that's where I want to play them.

That's a shame. Gamepass being on PC is a big reason im leaning towards ps5

For playing couch co-op games.
I already have a PC and gamepass so the choice is obvious.

At this point I just like the controler more than the dualshock

Because they censored my anime titties and because I can play some of my 360 games like Left4dead and Dead Space. I didn't own a Xbox One, I had a Ps4

That controller is nice. I got one to fuck around on my PC even thou I will probably get a ps5

>Game Pass
>Backwards compatibility
>Better ergonomy of the pad
>Don't give a fuck about PS exclusives aside for GoW and maybe Spider Man
That's it.

playstation doesn't usually have the games i want to play. not saying there's no games i've ever wanted to play but i just like xbox franchises better and by that extension: pc. i grew up with a ps2 and enjoyed the games but when my brother got an og xbox with halo, kotor, jade empire, jet set radio, fable, forza, project gotham etc i decided to stick with it in 7th gen and it was an amazing gen for xbox with new franchises like gears of war and mass effect debuting as xbox exclusives and it just cemented the xbox brand for me at a time sony was failing. then the xbox one came out and i bought it off the back of the 360 but it turned out to be a bit of a flop so i build a pc a year after buying the xbox one and have enjoyed the extension of MS games on pc like the games they ported to gamepass and in recent times flight sim 2020 (even my dad plays it now). i did pick up a used ps4 and tried out some sony exclusives but the only game i genuinely enjoyed to the point i platinumed it was spiderman. god of war was alright, not something i'd usually play though. i found it about as enjoyable as i found alan wake back on the 360 when i got it as an exclusive. pretty good but not really a fan of linear story games. i've always been the rpg, shooter and racer kind of gamer and i still am. that's why if i buy into any console platform again it'll be xbox again since they cater to all those genres with upcoming exclusives such as avowed, fable, starfield and then you have the amazing forza motorsport and horizon series and for shooters you have the (admittedly seen better days) halo and gears franchises, but they're still enjoyable non-the-less.
