Hell no

>freshman year of high school
>mandatory computer course had section where we had to use Multimedia Fusion to make a simple Breakout clone
>animations and simple 2D game logic is fucking tough
>apparently I Wanna Be The Guy was made entirely using this shit

Ignoring all that, indie game devs are all trannies and I want nothing to do with that nonsense

First of all I user, live in an American hole. Second, all I can do is program. Here in this hole, making video games doesn't count because no one would buy something made by me. Here if you want to survive you have to

>write API in Java Spring boot or node
>make front with IONIC or React
>know how to communicate with databases such as Microsoft Server or MongoDB or ElasticSearch

However, I've been out of work since January and I'm starting to get desperate. And as I said, I don't know how to do anything else but programming so here I am, putting something together in Unity and learning to use Blender in the hope of being able to sell something to someone.

>mfw i wanted to be a game designer and work for atlus or square

It seemed fun at first to do hobby dev but then it felt pointless like everything and I moved on to other pointless activities and now I'm here losing on a pointless thread

>want to be game dev
>the only companies in my country are mobile shitters

Not for a living but it'd be a neat hobby.

i wanted to make my own mmorpg after playing runescape
found out about coding
gave up instantly

In 10 years AI will be so good you can just dictate your game and the computer will do all the work.
Lmao at all the suckers wasting time learning to code model and animate when those skills will be depreciated in a decade

Alright I have time to do some development during the Winter Break
Should I make a Platformer, Shmup or an RPG?

>2010: in 10 years procedurally generated worlds will be so good devs won't even need to make their own gameworlds any more!

I'm only the idea guy.

i loved the VN for this game on the vita

If I was Japanese and born in Japan, I think I would have went for it.

>been out of work since january
yeah that explains why you keep autistically making sakuna threads you fucking degenerate

I am a game developer, I hit thirty this year and have had no romantic prospects since 21. I work for a studio and don't want to date locally because the place where my studio exists is smack dab in leftist retard central (Washington). I'm trying to save up so I can move somewhere else, fuck trannies fuck jews and fuck niggers where are the actual non communist white people in America. I only have 100k in the bank and I don't know how much padding I need for a safety net because I've always been employed...

Do whichever you can do quickest and won't lose motivation on.
So, probably a shmup.

Alright then I got that down.
Now for aesthetics and general themini
Cartoony Nature Theme or Gritty Dieselpunk Theme?

Yes.
>realized that it would be tons of programming, which I never got into
>realized that the game that I wanted would be an entire dedicated team
>realized that the game industry is all in California and hard to crack into (even in the mid-2000s)
>realized that it's all bullshit that is mandated from the publishers and the resulting changes strangle the life out of studios

Always have since I was little, still want to be.
I can't code (I'm just the art, story and sound guy), but I have cousins that can, so I might try to convince them to help me after the WuFlu bs calms down.

Right now, I'm starting small with what's basically interactive fanfiction.

I wanna make a 2d "mmo" but got no clue how. What's easiest engine

every single day of my life
i'm gonna do it this year but as an indie thanks to neetbucks helping me to not kill myself :)

H-haha yeah you totally did not just describe me

No but I wanted to become a hero

Hey, bunch of niggers.
Take the Unity engine, watch this videos and start making something

C# as a language is easy to use. We are not talking about memory managment, this technology was made to satisfy people like you. YOU ONLY NEED TO GET RID OF FEAR AND CAST OUT THE GHOSTS OF FAKE COMPLEXITY.

I strongly suggest to start playing with sculping terrain. That shit is even relaxing.

Best of wishes.

I'm going to check godot. Is a promise.

That's not an option, I like titties but I ain't on that weeb shit
