If you're on 1080p that's fine. These cards are obviously for meant for people who are running 1440p and 4K monitors with high refresh rates. You need a lot of VRAM for high texture settings, which is one of the most important settings in games. If you can hold out and are satisfied right now, I highly suggest waiting for Hopper and RDNA3.

The 5800X and 5900X are identical in games, but the 6800 is much faster than the 5700XT. If you absolutely cannot wait and must get a PC now, then that's a fine build you have there, but if you can wait another month or 2, I suggest doing what I said.

Im currently running a GTX980.

I have recently upgraded from 1080p to 1440p. Unsuprisingly the 980 with 4GB VRAM is not enough.

Would I be better picking up something like a 1080ti with 11GB of VRAM or a 3070? I know the 3070 has less VRAM at 8GB but will it suffice?
