I liked the premise a lot but once the shooting started I got really bored really fast. Just seemed like a very generic FPS, but I sincerely am glad you enjoyed it, we all deserve to be happy.

Zig Forums shits on it because its the opposite of what they enjoyed:
bioshock lets you carry all the guns and some plasmids, infinite lets you carry all the vigors and some of the guns. I think people also didnt care for the slave rebellion since it did feel kind of out of place, I just wanted to know elizabeths mystery and learn about comstock

I don't even think BioShock Infinite is generally disliked, its reviews were probably too generous and it's become popular to point out its flaws, but it's still a decent game.

It's not just bad because it's different. It's bad because it's an uninteresting FPS game in itself.
the story is nonsense that needlessly retcons the original, get that out of the way
Game wise, the levels are too linear and aren't fun to explore. They are shooting galleries strung together and they are so tedious and boring. Very little variety in set-ups or unique encounters with enemies like the original were good at doing. All the glossy colorful environments don't save it from being lifeless.
I don't care about the limits on weapons and I can excuse vigors being awkwardly shoehorned into the game for fun reasons. Even the story being bad could be forgiven if it wasn't so in-your-face all the time dictating what you do. What kills infinite is the awful story with awful pacing, boring levels, and the bad repetitive firefights.
