nostalgia, also it was probably one of the first open world games you played.

Damn, you right

i mean, I played morrowind on the xbox classic but I got filtered by the puzzle box so, fucl. Was just a kid still really/

Nah not for me, I didn't play Oblivion until 2014, and it's atmosphere blew me away. Sure it's dated and does need mods, but that doesn't take away a fantastic core for a game developed in 2005

Is there a good mod pack for Oblivion similar to Ultimate Skyrim?

I've been searching for ages. Last time I played Oblivion, I ended up spending a few days modding the game only to end up hating half the mods because they simply don't do what they're supposed to / said they would do or they're buggy messes so I've been completely put off installing my own mods. Ultimate Skyrim was a breath of fresh air where modding is concerned.

the only good thing about that piss of shit was the music and you all know it.

>What made Oblivion so comfy?
watchman's ease
auriel's acension

>nostalgia
nope. never played it until a year ago and i found it much comfier than skyrim

i liked exploring shit

What are you looking for? For me, Galerion's Natural Levelling is a must and I only install another house/base mod that suits my character and play mostly vanilla.

A mod pack like Ultimate Skyrim.

Something that doesn't detract from the original experience, but removes all the glaring faults and adds a bit more.

I guess for Oblivion that would be;
>graphics overhaul + player model and NPC model fixes so they aren't potatoes
>leveling fix so you don't have to stop levelling at one point or risk even mudcrabs becoming gods
>more additions to gear, loot, armor
>more magic and versatility with levelling or stats
Maybe some addition to combat.

How difficult is it too mod oblivion. I started getting into skyrim modding and is super simple with mo2, is it the same with oblivion?

You need to use Wryebash with oblivion or the game will crash relentlessly if you change anything other than textures.

I see Oblivion - I see nude girls.
Not even Skyrim feels like this.

Depends what you're installing. Most mods are easy pretty similar to Skyrim.

It was this and the music for me. I can't replay it though, everytime I start I just get bored

Calming music, familiar yet charming setting, the fact that many parts of it are outright hilarious yet it still tries to take itself seriously

you will need extra tools but the concept is largely the same. script extender (obse), boss (similar to loot for skyrim), wryebash (main manager), OBMM (for omods)
then you do unofficial patch, 4gb patch, etc. and go from there

Fucking wonderful music, god I loved this game even if it was far from perfect.

thqat video ;_;

Bloom out the ass and cohesive painterly texture work for comfy forest and countryside feels.

nothing. Stop lying, everybody knows Oblivion and all Bethesda games are untenably shit.

what is the progress on skyblivion?

I love RAEVWD but it makes too obvious how close dungeons are to each other.

This. Playing it after Skyrim I felt nothing. World design was bland as fuck. Great quests tho. And I loved that I had to get a recommendation from every town's guild to get into the university.

I used bevilex's list plus a few gameplay and nudity mods. It's on wabbajack. In the end I never found the combat to be that enjoyable and most of the fun I had was in exploiting the mechanics. Stealth mage was fun with av latta magicka.

I beat it a couple of years back for the first time right after Morrowind.

Unironically soul.

cope

You described it very well, it looks like a painting

Same as always.

Potato faces and level scaling.
