It was fine but anything less than stellar drives people crazy. Price didn't help since it would've been easier to swallow if it retailed for cheaper.

20$ game sold for 60$ to real video game players, so that shit didnt fly unlike fifa

I'd say it felt like a DLC of REmake 2 but it can't even manage to carry over the appealing features from that game like dismemberment or even physics on bodies, it's all canned animations.

No it was way too scripted.

Downgrade from 2 so that was disappointing. Too much was removed/altered.

Complete shit. Totally worthless unless you're one of those people with no standards and just want to mash buttons while a movie plays.

Slapped together at the last minute as a cashgrab. REfags will defend this.

If I really like REmake 2, is this going to at least be more of the same? I haven't played any of the original REs so deviation from those won't bother me.

>is this going to at least be more of the same?
Not really. It's like someone modded RE2 to be a corridor shooter.

the original re3 was also a chopped down game and is easily the worst out of the first 4 games. i think a lot of people forgot that going into re3 remake

re3 is my favourite of the original games, re3 remake is probably tied with re6 for my least favourite game in the series.

We have this thread every day and the answer is still that it has some significant flaws and is in the end just disappointing. It lacks the high polish and classic hub style exploration gameplay that REmake 2 captured and replaced it with what felt like a linear group of set piece hallways that someone tried to weakly transplant what felt like RE exploration onto those areas. Box 1 feels like the Raccoon city street box, box 2 feels like the power station box, box 3 feels like the sewer box and so on and so on... none of it feels organic or interconnected.
Enemy physics are HEAVILY nerfed, going back to REmake 2 after REmake 3 feels like you were playing an unfinished beta build in RE3. Zombies drop to half frames of animation when you are a short distance from them and all fall over the same way and become statues when dead.
Even when a short section of the RPD is re-used it feels wrong. It doesn't feel like it's actually finished being worked on, you can walk around just the RPD for a couple of hours in REmake 2 and feel "wow this is a real place. What incredible atmosphere" but in REmake 3 it feels like it's the same building made out of cardboard. It's just sad, there are SOME cool parts, the remade music was a nice touch and i could still write an essay more on why Nemesis is the biggest F in the entire game but i have already written a goddamn wall of text here.
It's a goddamn shame because sometimes the cutscenes look like they were made on the PS6 or some shit but ultimately as a game it's down in the tiers alongside games like RE0, RE5 and RE6 for me. Has faults.

Worst than the original.

>It was fine but anything less than stellar drives people crazy
this is ultimately the power of RE. I don't think we sometimes realise how fucking top tier some of these games are. There are people who call RE4 the greatest single video game ever made.

>REfags will defend this.
REfags have been extremely vocal about their dissapointment everywhere since the beginning including with their wallet, i have no idea who these defenders you made up are but they aren't the actual RE community.

really cool scenery and action
Didn't notice the downgrades until someone mentioned it just now

You are not fooling anybody here.
RE3 was a spinoff that was expanded into a dignified sequel worth of some praise and still fun to play to this day, more than RE5 and 6 for sure.
RE3r was meant to be a remake of RE3, it ended up being "Resident Evil Last Escape", a remake of the short weak spin off that never was.

Or, you can just say it was indeed a demake, because it did dismantle the original to almost nothing.

cool story nerds now let's get down to the real discussion, someone post that 1998 Raccoon City pussy rankings list that tells you all about how much pussy hair and pussy power the girls all have.

It's too short.

i really fucking honestly love what a cop Jill is in this game, she marches around the place like a dude it's pretty fucking based. Her running animation with a handgun looks so fucking serious and operator in a way that makes Claire look like the amateur she is by comparison.

>Makes the cardinal RE mistake of making everything faster and more action-focused and thus immediately less scary.
>Fucked up the S.T.A.R.S line
It feels like Hunk's action mode featuring jill.

See

The weird thing is that HUNK is somehow less capable than both Jill and Carlos now by comparison. They honestly made a mistake making Carlos so absurdly RE5 like, it's too fucking much. He is supposed to be 21 years old as well but looks 35. REmake 2 was just so much better, i actually prefer that HUNK feels the way he does because that gauntlet sprint to the finish is one of the most operator experiences i have ever had in a video game.

>Fucked up the S.T.A.R.S line

>One of the most iconic lines in a series that spans over 20 games
>And it's used on a hallway, while you are running away from Nemesis
>Playing on anything above standard makes it so it can even be interrupted because Nemesis can hit you from offscreen
"Fucked up" is kind of an understatement

the first guy is saying ultimately it's DEmake and the other two are "eh" about it.

actress got her life ruined by all this game porn
cursed videogame

I just can't believe they were SO incompetent with this moment. Set aside the arrogant changing of the line for no reason, they put the dialogue in a situation that is so easily Interruptible to comedic degree that everyone has experienced it at least once. Everyone talks about it because it happens that often. It's like no one tested this thing.

It was a disappointment. Outsourced and rushed. Nowhere near as good as the original or RE2make. Okay for one playthrough, obnoxious on replays because of the long intro. The final boss on Inferno is complete dogshit.

>YOU WANT S.T.A.R.S.? I'LL GIVE YOU- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Even the game itself is porn. I was surprised that part with jill deepthroating a monster was actually ingame and not just re porn.

Sasha? Literally doesn't give a fuck. Someone asked her on live stream if she knows that there is very realistic nu-Jill porn everywhere and she just looked slightly embarrassed and said "well boys are always going to like that sort of thing so... as long as they like it i guess"
Now if anyone is bothered by the video game thing it is probably Jordan McEwen, Claire's face model. She has never talked once about being happy to be the face of Claire Redfield and just wants to be a fashion model but every post she makes has comments full of "WE LOVE YOU CLORE REDFOLD MARRY US XX" and now she hardly ever posts on instagram anymore.

yes and they still cut stuff even from the original 3 with this. i don't think the original 3 being what it was (a spin-off haphazardly turned into a numbered sequel) is an excuse for its remake to have even less content than that in 2020 and feeling like a DLC expansion to REmake 2

she looks so much like Cara Delevigne it's unreal. I never noticed how much she looks like her in the REmake 2

almost half the fucking time. So stupid it's just the poorest execution and it happens in a lot of different places. Unironcally Carlos get's better contextual moments, from mocking RE puzzle doors, to the entire voice lock mechanism dialogue in the hospital, to even shooting the bullseye on the dart board in the STARS office and having him and Tyrell start goofing around about it.

How cool would this game have been if it was combined with the RE2make?

Think about it. It could've been DLC or an unlockable story after completing RE2's main story.

It would've been so much better that way.

its strange that only Carlos gets those bits of dialogue when interacting with the environment like the old games whereas Jill doesn't.

disappointment overall. glorified RE2R dlc. the fact we didn't get mercenaries at all and got some chinky mp component that got official support literally killed after a few months was was the last straw honestly. glad I pirated both re3r and resistance. fuck capcom

I think she's beautiful. I can't deny that a lot of it is simply her being chosen as the official Claire but Claire is a character so deeply rooted in my childhood that it has the effect it's supposed to and turned her into a 10 in my head.

Jill getting impregnate was the only good bit, I've coomed over that so many times

It was ok
I think people were incredibly let down after REmake 2 when in reality the original RE3 was worse than RE2 too

Isn't worth $15

it's almost like you can't make Japanese devs reject loving hot girls. A lot of the mandate on Jill's design seemed to be "make her practical, make her efficient, make her a cop" and her dev head all that and said
>she's getting big tits
>im adding jiggle physics to the tits a lot
>there will be ass shots
>there will be armpits
>she is getting tentacled down the throat and you will all think about the dicks she has sucked
there is way more sexual shit in REmake 3 than REmake 2

i believe that was the intention originally, mentioned in some interview somewhere. it explains why REmake 2's B scenarios are so underwhelming compared the OG's "zapping system" - they were added on last minute, but it would have been "fine" that they weren't there originally since it would have been packaged with RE3 as well anyways. but then at some point they decided to split the games up for money reasons i'm assuming, and 2 got the poorly handled B scenarios and 3 got the Resistance game shat onto it.

>Think about it. It could've been DLC
it basically was it just came in a separate box and cost you $60 at launch. Think about it, REmake 2 is the fastest selling RE game of all time, it's currently only 700,000 copies behind REVII and it got no paid DLC? While VII did? They wanted this to be REmake 2's Iceborne.
