Where did the $500 millions go?

Where did the $500 millions go?

they spent $300M on training AIs to display emotion on enemy faces
then a further $200M training that same AI to be unamused at anything

Reminder that everything after 3 is nothing but fanfiction.

Do money hungry corporations like MS ever wake up and realize it would be cheaper to just hire the right people for the job rather than throw well over half a billion at the wrong people and then pay journalists for reviews to trick normies into buying it?

This

That would only work if they cared about the quality of their product.

Unfortunately they don't want to take the time to hire the right people. They will be patching holes and getting things "Over the line" instead of making things awesome.

Bungie used to have it right "Good enough is a terrible thing to aim for".

Starbucks

I enjoyed ODST. Though I admit the premise of not being as strong as a Spartan got thrown out the window in the first mission when you solo a pair of Hunters.

They don't care.
Their endgame is subversion

"Subversion (from the Latin word subvertere, 'overthrow') refers to a process by which the values and principles of a system in place are contradicted or reversed, in an attempt to transform the established social order and its structures of power, authority, hierarchy, and social norms."

ODST does count as a part of 3 in my opinion.

This is some conspiracy shit right here. Their endgoal is having all of the money. Whatever way gets them more money for the least amount of effort, is the thing they are going to do.

The problem isn't actually in money at all.

They have plenty.

Its how they use the time they have and skills.
Choosing the right people requires an effective project management team which 343 doesn't have.

They simply don't know what to do with the resources they have. Its ineptitude rather than just "hiring the right people", since the people directing the right people are fucking thick.

>hire top game programmer at top dollar
>piss him off so he leaves
>spend millions trying to replace him
>spend even more trying to figure out his genius level code

>hire xer
>xer code is just as good as the next xer
>fire xer for a younger, bigger titty version every year
>also, pay xer peanuts
>also, consider replacing xer with monkeys, since they code at the same level

The "right people for the job" are the cheapest cog, not the best and brightest. Those are the ones that are your boss. Smart guys don't hire smarter guys.

To wages for all the f*male diversity hires so they can get paid for doing nothing.

>they spent $300M on training AIs to display emotion on enemy faces
Valve figured out how to make convincing facial animations back in 2007 and the industry is still trying to use some mo-cap that always ends up looking like garbage.

You need to remember MS is a monopoly. They aren't worried about money, they're worried about time.

How the fuck do you spend $300M on that? You just take pictures and let a cluster of machines train on the dataset of images.

What the industry figured out at large is that the quality of the game doesn't really matter as long as you pour enough money into marketing.

Where did the 15 BILLION from the Mexico/US border go? You're asking all the wrong questions.

>Their endgoal is having all of the money.
"Square Enix Reports Marvel’s Avengers Brought A Reported $63 Million Loss With Low Sales"

>pay friend $300 million for AI faces
>friend kicks back 1.5 million

Political correctness meetings and gay flags.

Starbucks shakes for diversity hires

consider the following.
About half the population is female, and education attainment leans female.
While things like computer science are skewed male things like HR do skew female. And Microsoft hires thousands and thousands of people. Making it fairly easy to just naturally wind up with enough female employees for a photo op.
If you just mean why do vidya devs look like freaks in general, understand gaming doesn't pay as much as say working on azure or someshit.
If you saw affirmative action in an ad or something, it means pretty much nothing. I'm a straight white dude who always just puts rather not say and still get job offers.

don't ask questions
consume product
get excited for next product

It's almost as if being competent is not a requirement. Also, at this point how could anyone at SE ever admit to themselves or others that they are bad at their job? They would all have to fire themselves.

Why did the Brutes went from Rhino Gorilla to mildly annoyed monkey?

I don't think you understand that quote, nor my post, nor anything in general.

Something had to pay for the seminars and mandatory employee courses during: Black History Month, Women’s History Month, Black Women’s History Month, Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, LGBTQ Pride Month, Black Business Month, National Hispanic Heritage Month, LGBT History Month, and Native American Indian/Alaska Native Heritage Month. May have missed a couple, but that is what my employer spends boat loads on. Those speakers aren't cheap.

>Asian Pacific American Heritage Month
>Black Business Month
>National Hispanic Heritage Month
I knew about LGBT and Black History month but these sounded like you were pulling them out of your ass halfway through
turns out, one google search later, they're real

what the fuck is wrong with Americans LMAO

Yeah, they are real and are prevalent in the fortune 50 corporations. Just glad we aren't at the office anymore so we don't have to see all the decorations and billboard sized historicals about 1920's famous black afro latina pioneers that they have made for each month.
