my favorite starter generation is 3threeeeeeeeee

But Bulbasaur is cute.

i go out of my way to bully bulbasaur starters

t. Charmander chad

>dual type
>good bulk AND attacks
>set up moves
>status moves
>best hidden ability among all gen 1 starters
>only gen 1 starter that fares well in competitive play
I pick Bulbasaur

>squirtlefags thinking they matter
At least Charmander babbies have an excuse since they're mostly kids

Daily reminder that Blastoise has never been viable in standard play unlike Charizard and Venusaur.

better than bulbasaurs picking you

>unlike charizard
Oh boy, I'm laffin. When has Charizard ever been viable?

>inb4 back peddling and goalpost shifting about megas

>Charizard
Charimeme had to have TWO mega evolutions to finally be relevant in OU at least. And he still feared (and fears) switching to stealth rocks.

Popplio is my favorite starter.

>Bully
Every scrawny nerd picked charmander to make themselves feel cool because their parents never loved them

Stop projecting

Yeah wana here wan get back in yoir cage

>gen 1 starter was charmander
>gen 2 starter was totodile
>literally every other gen my starter was the grass type
Why are grass types so based?

Moltres and special based Charizard are somewhat new to the gen 3 scene. Pretty much you switch them in with ease due to their typing and hit hard with fire blast or hidden power grass. While Moltres is generally seen as the better of the two as it has the raw stats, Charizard has a bit more speed, can deal heavy damage if it goes into blaze range, and most importantly has a much better movepool to work with. Charizard can hit Salamence and Flygon without having to drop hidden power grass, and the extra speed allows it to speed tie with them. Its other, much more attractive coverage move, is focus punch. Both Moltres and Charizard commonly bring in Tyranitar, Blissey, and Snorlax to sponge the fire blast, but only Charizard can nail them on the switch with focus punch. He's not top tier and requires you to properly build around him, but to say Charizard isn't viable in standard is foolish.

Gen 8 solar power boots Charizard is a meme and so is sun until we finally get a grass type with drought./spoiler]

It’s just my thing

too bad evolves into celeste

The only time grass starter was acceptable was gen7

chesnaught was pretty good

I picked Turtwig in gen 4 and had a lot of fun in double battles with it and Staraptor.

KWAB

Because Torterra was so based that the anime writers had to make him a jobber to compensate for the test overload.

Yet smash still doesn't have a grass fighter.
They skipped gen3 Sceptile and Decidueye was cucked out of it by Incelroar.

I'm almost 28. I've played the original series so many times and got it at such a young age. Do you autistic freaks actually remember your very first starter or is this just a skub/antiskub thread to try and flex superiority on other retards?

Stop being so pathetic, gen5 kid
