A gf so I stop playing this shitty waifu simulator

For once since p3, a good story

fpbp

>p3
>good story
Pick one

an exaggerated plot involving misinformation spread from a primary media source to manipulate a society of mankind

you know it is going to be about that thanks to this fucking generation of politics

"follow your own truth" as the hackneyed tagline

it will sell millions to youthful quarter brained leftist teenagers who will angrily defend the game isn't a glorified dating simulator when you get to bang a lonely aging news correspondent sent out to do a story about high school kids

Call me a retard, but I kinda want Persona game in a DMC-slasher style. Hell, Sega's Yakuza: Like a Dragon changed its style, Persona can probably do it too.

Only Westaboos in Japan make political games.

No, I'll pick both. P3 had a very good story.

One thing I see people ask for sometimes that would disappoint me to no end is for it to be some crossover between past games about saving the Door or some shit, I'd much rather it have its own cast, its own theme and its own story like every other game has been allowed to have. Aside from that, I mainly just hope that the fact that it'll have a new director doesn't keep the new team on too tight a leash. I wouldn't be surprised if they make them play it safe for P6, and I hope they have the freedom to do what they want with it.

More than anything though, I just hope that before they do even begin developing Persona 6, they make a fully-fledged Phoenix Ranger Featherman R game, that'd be a real dream come true.

I dont want persona 6

>Social links about the characters themselves, not focused on some random NPC that helps the character change their perspective
>Male and female protagonist
>No "right" answers in social links, make them lead to different outcomes to the relationship rather than just making everyone want to look up a guide so they don't waste time
>Main character can equip different kinds of weapons
>Older cast (college, even adult) or at least themes that are a bit more universal, not "We gotta get those shitty adults man!"
>More activities that don't take time, like making fishing an activity that doesn't take up an entire day time
>Ability to change battle/dungeon music like in P3
>Let the party pass turns from the start, or just do a proper Press Turn system

Overall, I'd say they've hit a solid base with P5's gameplay loop, especially with demon recruitment back and how much faster combat is. At this point, I'm just looking for overall mechanical/narrative improvements.

My dream would be more narrative variety. Social links play out essentially the same no matter your choices. Same with the core plot, outside of a few bad ends. It would be awesome if you actually had some choice in how things play out. Like, if you tell a social link character to knock it off, let it create some tension or even switch to a different direction narratively. Don't make it where I just get less points and everything proceeds as if I just went with what they said. Or if we go the direction of a "bad" ending, pit us against the cast or something. Just a little more variety, especially since they encourage NG+ so much in the games.

SMT is inherently a political game.

Persona isn't a glorified dating sim though, it barely has any dating content. I would even like to see them flesh it out in the next game because of how barebones it is. To call games that range from 60 hours to over 100 hours while having maybe an hours worth, if that, of those scenes relate to dating a girl, a dating sim is a huge overstatement.

>a story crammed into the second half of the game is good
Shit taste.

>'d much rather it have its own cast, its own theme and its own story
Based patrician

A game where they break out of the high school thing for the first time since Eternal Punishment.

You literally missed the whole point of persona 3. Having a relatively mundane daily life where you go to school, hang with friends and self improve is what makes your death at the end tragic.

Plebian

>not focused on some random NPC that helps the character change their perspective
I don't feel like any S. Links in prior games are like this, I can tell you're thinking of ones like Makoto's, but her Confidant still gives you insight into her character, what she wants to do with her life and how she's reflected on the events in the story that took place before she joined you, among other things. That a different character is used to create a situation where those things happen isn't an issue for me, and while there are some problems with how its handled in Makoto's Confidant specifically, I don't think the fact that there was another character there to help move thigns along was the issue.

Also, I feel like too many free time activities defeats the purpose of the calendar system, I would rather just see more incentive to do activities other than Confidants/S. Links. Maybe if they want to re-stucture things a bit, they could have some activites take more time and some take less, so you could potentially do an activity like that and still have time to do the more valuable S. Links/ Confidants. I don't really agree with some other things you mention either like the Male/female protagonist and the older cast, but I do agree about narrative variance. At the very least, more of a dynamic between S. Links and story would be nice, even if it was just something as small as having progressed in a S. Link by a certain amount by a certain point in the story, it would open up some new path or scene or something, would be nice.

Basically remove every single thing that persona 3 added to the series and it should be a good game

What a brainlet
>it's bad on purpose
Lmao

I feel like contrasting p5 with a theme of "passing on the mantle to the next generation" could be interesting.
>Color: green
>Themes: nature, growth vs stagnation
>Mythology: Kalevala
>Starter Personae: various fictional/real world rulers/leaders
>Ultimate Personae: various matriarch/patriarch gods (Zeus)
>Location: something like pic related
>Otherworld: overgrown wasteland (like the map from Nier Automata)
>Summoning Gimmick: idk but maybe persona users wear gas masks and vent them out to summon their persona.
>Velvet Room: train
>Soundtrack: for "normal" world something like P4, but for the otherworld Metal/Rock.

I'm more interested in Project Re Fantasy, currently.

Hopefully they give us a fuck ton of places to explore. Since that was the best part of P5. Really wonder what the soundtrack will be since 3,4, and 5 were very different but still great and chill listens.

god this shit is fucking annoying. the only logic is that they include s links as dating but that's not even true.
thank god they will never listen to you

Better soundtrack.

It's not bad. You just missed the point. Go watch capeshit, retard.

Apparently Persona 5 was going to be about a globetrotting adventure before the earthquakes happened and they decided to keep it Japan. If they bring it back for Persona 6.
>You're a roadie for your sibling's popular band going on their first world tour.
>At every stop you meet new friends who become your party members and eventually your own band.
>Every city has some mystery for you to solve related to the bigger mystery of idk why your parents disappeared on their own world tour ten years ago or something.
>The deadline here would be wrapping up a level like Amsterdam or London before your engagement at the local venues are over.
>The Velvet Room is a green room here and there's a bunch of arguments between you and the tsundere attendant about why it's still purple.

playable and romanceable Nanako-chan!

Samefagging here but hey maybe the green is where the game gets its color scheme

I feel like something went wrong during the development of P3, like there seemed like there could have been a lot of really interesting stuff happening like the origin of shadows and the kirijo group etc etc but I feel like the story just spins it's wheels for 100 hours and then you just punch Death in the face and that's the end of it.

nigga cat

>retard that thinks P3 is special telling anyone to do anything
Mind you, I understand your shit game better than you.

PC release.

I just want clubs/sports back.

LMAO
get that quituple or port beg for another 10 years

Adult MC
Doomer story line

P5R is going to be on PC only next year user.

And I'm Cosmo and Wanda.

That sounds really cool. Unfortunately, it's far too creative for modern Atlus.
