The best vidya map ever.
The best vidya map ever
Maybe 15 years ago but there are several games that have had better maps since
los santos countryside... home..
pic not related?
BOTW has a god tier map
full house
/discussion
>bloated for no reason
>very few memorable locations, mostly just empty fields and mountains
>nothing to find except 900 korok sneeds and 100 identical shrines
so this is your brain on nintendo
>>very few memorable locations
Your brain is slipping grandpa
Anyone else find the map itself eerie from this angle?
Running around in empty field simulator for most of the map
It feels so small.
When I was a kid I thought the map for San Andreas was crazy big. This angle helps show how small it really was.
AHEM
BotW was already posted
days since Shitch kiddies defended their ubisoft clone because it's the only game their fisher price tablet has (after THREE YEARS!): 0
It was genius because it wasn't really that big but with the visual affects and design it did seem huge
It's empty as fug and too big for what it does with that size
RDR1 was better and less bloated
I despised GTA V Los Santos, what the fuck happened?
We need more small open worlds.
In my mind it's still impossibly large and dense.
Lmao based.
the woods and those small desert town were so scary to drive through
The Guild Wars Nightfall map was better.
No it wasn't, reddit.
>New Austin is completely unused
>Can't revisit Mexico
>No explanation for why the bridges between southern West Elizabeth and the rest are magically missing in RDR1
So great, yet so much missed potential.
This is probably one of the worst.
There is no good reason for a map to look like this.
It's absolute kino but they did basically bottleneck themselves from expanding on the map anymore without starting a new continent (which turned out to be shit when they did).
Because it's from your childhood. If you downloaded a new game today and the publisher said 'here's your map bro' you would call it out as shite.
As a geologyfag, this map really was a treat.
So many interesting features.
Did you know Zora's Domain is likely the crater of an extinct volcano?
It's true. Its proximity to Death Mountain is very telling. There's a hot spot beneath the plate, and you can trace its motion. The plate Hyrule rests on is moving south-southwest. The massive canyon to the north of the Eldin and Hebra likely formed as a rift valley between two distinct plates.
Very interestting.
