All Starfox does is remake the original Snes game, or make like 5 different spin offs each making their own timeline
Make a genuine sequel to original and stick to it. Give it a darker tone story. It's fucking animals flying space crafts as hired mercenarys how do you not make that interesting.
Here I'll throw you a story I'll make up on the spot right now.
Andross before he died was researching a way to obtain ultimate power. Go into the backstory of how he transistioned into a giant floating head with hands, he was a scientist looking into using cores of planets as energy sources but why would he need energy sources? Because he needed an insane amount of power to do something.
Give story to other characters like Peppy and his regret for letting James die.
Falco as he tries to find something he enjoys doing since there's no reason to be hired mercenaries since the space war is over and he wants that thrill again.
Slippi I don't fucking know I don't care about him. Maybe he's also a scientist and starts off the adventure by looking into Andross's work.
Fox is just some dude that feels fulfilled because he killed the main source of evil (for now) in the universe and avenged his dad. Maybe he's just like a farmer or something.
Do literally nothing with Krystal she's still the same character and taking care of space dinosaurs. She's not interested in helping the cast until later because she wants to stay with the dinos but realizes they will die if she doesn't help the cast.
