XBROS and PChads,
We fucking WON
Sea of Thieves Growth
Game is so fucking boring sailing isn’t comfy after like the 10th hour of it, content is boring aside from skull forts and pvp and even those are trivial with a good group. Only fun thing left is sea dog arena which takes like 15 minutes to get into a match.
the game is fucking empty. how are people playing this? i played it with bros and we all got sick of it 10hours in.
Surprised that a shit game from MS nonetheless got so popular
The game is great, can be boring for people who are used with following waypoints, kill monsters and level up.
The journey and the unexpected makes for great experiences.
It’s a cool chill out game for like, hanging out with friends.
It’s successful cause it’s not a movie game and actually decent now
fun with friends just means the game is shit.
>the journey
you go to one of like 15 islands half of which or bland and empty and kill a skeleton or get treasure
>the unexpected
you get attacked by a kraken, megalodon or gang of 12 year olds. how surprising
>11 million players
How many active?
>checking achievements
>75% of players set sail at least once
>50% of players finished at least 1 quest
Success my ass.
>comparing multiplayer games as a service to single player games
also its successful because of game pass
Great atmosphere, garbage gameplay
It's not a great game, but the it's genuinely beautiful and super relaxing.
I can't imagine playing with randos, but an hour here an there with friends is really fun. Just ignore all the bullshit meta game, sail around, play music, get drunk, try to burn down the ship, lock each other in the brig, and sneak onto other people ships while they're on an island and raise the rainbow flag and sail away.
This game is fucking awful though. I guess we're looking at the new strategy here though. Release game in west. Watch it stagnant. Release game in the east. Claim new found growth.
When they run out of continents to slow-release in the game will be doomed.
Pretty comfy game. Looks great with HDR on.
This and deeprock galactic are absolute coop gems
>china and korea
lmao we know whats coming
This is the case for most games. I wonder why some people even buy games?!
>11 million players in 2020
>split 50/50
>(PC/Steam)66,632 all-time peak.
????????????
Is there a Microsoft Store version of the game? That may bump up the numbers.
I doubt you will find the other 5,433,368 missing players on microsoft store. Who knows, maybe anything is possible.
How does this game even play in China? Arent all the enemies skeletons?
bugs don't count as players
I played with three friends. I was on steam the others on Windows store.
Like you said
>anything is possible.
Game was only sold on Steam way after it was released. Also it was "free" with gamepass on PC.
>i played it with bros and we all got sick of it 10hours in.
I think that's the point, there's no real progression or reason to dumb in dozens of hours. You just boot it up when you feel like some high-seas adventures without any brainless Quest markers that completely trivialize the navigational aspect
retard
>actually decent now
It has zero progression and shit customization
Based retard
agreed. it is a fun game but you experience it all in a few days and everyone just moves on. no reason to keep playing since theres no progression
Can i play solo?
tried it on both my xbox and pc with gamepass ultimate
its fucking boring
>China and Korea
