yes

best choice: buy the games on pc
next best series x because it doesn't have gimped gpu/cpu/ram
worst choice is to buy a literal scam console

Is it that much of a scam? I thought it was just a weaker console and since I dont havea top of the line tv will it even be noticeable?

It's a 1080p machine if devs optimize for it correctly. Cold War runs great on it at that resolution.

Series S for Emulation purposes only.

Nope, if you don't have a 4K tv there is no reason to buy a SeX over SeS all games offer 60fps mode for now.

This is the least scam of all consoles.

It's small and cheap, as a console should.
You won't catch me dead buying giant overpriced monoliths for a console, now that to me is "might as well buy a PC instead" territory. There's a reason the Switch is still outperforming everything.

Digital is the future. It’s not 2001 anymore. For better or worse.
PC has pretty much been digital only since 2008 thanks to steam getting everyone on board.
I haven’t used a disk drive on a computer since at least 2010.

It's poo poo, 1080p 30fps is the best it can do for most next-gen games so far.

Yes, actually is a good option and Sony know it

god i'm so happy I didn't upgrade from my 1080 Ti. I knew this gen was going to be held back by the S and now this reinforces it.

There isn't a next gen game except for DeS remake and that's on PS5.Valhalla and COD both run at 60fps on Series S.

PC fags...is it actually possible for you to partake in a single thread without telling someone to buy a thousand dollar PC.....dude console gamers don't want to buy your fucking piece of shit hardware, just give up fucking Micro$oft shill

The PS5 is the only console that feels next gen, the UI is next gen and the controller is next gen, the Xbox looks and plays exactly the fucking same as it always has, just because they made the teraflops go up doesn't mean they actually changed anything, it doesn't have a single exclusive game atm, if you've got a PC there's literally ZERO reason to one an XBOX, it's actually recommended you get a PC and a PS or a Nintendo if you want to be able to actually play exclusive games

PC + Switch is only worthy combo. PS is literally garbage gaming.

Yes. I picked up a SeS at launch. At £249 plus £8 for Gamepass its one of the best bargains in gaming. Plus you can run emulators on it.

the series s is worth it only if you are not going to play a lot of A/AAA games. you are saving some money now for a far worse performance. are you going to play some indie games and 1 or 2 AAA games each year without caring graphics? you have no intention of upgrading to a 4k TV? then get the series S.In all other cases get a PC or one of the other consoles.

Fuck off Snygger

New UI is just presentation, doesn't make anything more or less next gen. Either way Xbox did get a UI Change but was just a few weeks before the series consoles came out.

>if you've got a PC there's ZERO reason to own an XBOX
if you got a PC then there is no reason to spend $500 on the playstation just to play 6 exclusives ($70 each). If you want exclusives get a switch.

based

Wait for the TGA's to see if the good exclusives (Fable etc) are coming soon.

*also on PC
** fuck snoy

I mainly thinking all the big games I can get on PS5

I dont want to payout another 450 quid just for halo, forza and fable

do the payment plan and then return it once done

It is a shame you lose both the disc drive and get a meager 500GB (real size being 3XXGB), would have been nice only one of those two.

If only it could output 4k. A 4K focused gamespass machine would be dope, on the other hand 1080p upscaled to 4k doesn't make too much difference for older games I guess.

PC
>costs way more
>stays as your desktop unless you position it next to the tv
>can steamlink it but get frame tears

SeS
>costs basically nothing
>can play everything, negligible differences
>dedicated TV console, no need for steamlink
>games you buy for it are playable on your PC once prices drop enough for an upgrade

I would definitely take the SeS for travel over the Nintendo switch. People who never leave their house underestimate the value of having such a small console.

Also Series S is the ONLY next gen console that fits inside a TV stand.

You can run emulators? didnt know this.

Also nice setup, is it not annoying getting the switch into the dock though?

PS5 fits you just have to angle it

Yeah and it'd fit right into the dumpster after it overheats

What a terrible life it must be to hate video games like yourself.

Someone offered me $400 plus one of these for my opened, used ps5. Just get a series x bro.

>Just get a series x bro
>next best series x because it doesn't have gimped gpu/cpu/ram
The reviews say otherwise. PS5 beats Xbox on all fronts
