Ever notice how in most of the "Leaks" the rumors of the next location have ranged from being Boston, Liberty City, Vice City, Washington D.C. and now recently Virginia from myth from the recent heist trailer when you enter a code on Google maps and it lands you in Middle Mountain Trail in Virginia? My theory is that it will be the entire east coast and not just one location. It will be Rockstar's way of testing a early concept of the U.S. map, and by GTA VII they will have the technology to be able to achieve that goal of the entire map.
Here's your GTA 6 map
no
>they will have the technology
But will they have the manpower? RDR2 was had every rockstar branch working on it and it still pushed their limits. Not to mention the only somewhat reputable leak we've gotten is that it'll be smaller in scope than previous games.
>here's your GTA 6
Literally will only be played by 12 year olds.
It's obvious that Vice City will be in the game.
I buy it. Good way to throw people off for leaks, due to the multiple locations, and this feels like the natural next step for the franchise after RDR2. They definitely have the tech for it.
Yeah, they used the same 3 main cities in every game except 2 and London, which were 2D.
True. Probably not the only one though.
Although a theory, it seems like the only plausible one. I imagine the map will be massive even if you base one state in the GTA Universe on the real life equivalent of three in real-life like San Andreas did placing Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas together even if they're separate in real life.
I believe single player's story will be shorter, but the map will be bigger because of what Online players will come to expect.
Exactly. Don't forget Manchester (GTA London for PC)
based
nobody wants 20-something boomers shitting up a game with complaining
>dude the next GTA will be the entire US
>dude the next Elder Scrolls will be all of Tamriel
why do retards keep saying this. This will literally never happen, ever.
Los Santos is 3.4 square miles. Los Angeles is 500 square miles, so it's scaled down by a factor of 147. The US is 3.8 million square miles. Scaled down to GTA scale that's 25850.
So in order to create the entire US, rockstar would need to make 7000 more maps (some cities, come country). So far they've made 4 in the 'HD Universe' (RDR, RDR2, GTA IV, GTA V)
I was so disappointed when 5 didn't include San Fierro and Las Venturas, and instead some generic boring towns. Even the little towns in SA had soul.
People saw the crew and thought it was viable to make a map of the entire us. but then didnt actually play it to realize its seriously scaled down and very fucking bland and completely lacking in detail.
>Los Angeles is 500 square miles
LA is a fucking hideous sprawl and I don't know if anyone would really want a 1:1 recreation of it.
>>dude the next GTA will be the entire US
>The east coast
>The entire U.S.
No one in this post has said that GTA 6 will be based in the entire U.S. Time to get hooked on phonics, kid.
GOOGLE MAPS BRAH
just take Googles data and with some algorithms wala !
exactly, Rockstar's game worlds are very detailed. The cities may become a bit bigger or we might even get two or three in one game like San Andreas, but we're never gonna have a game with like 20 cities in it. The cities will just become a little bigger and more detailed
>It will be Rockstar's way of testing a early concept of the U.S. map, and by GTA VII they will have the technology to be able to achieve that goal of the entire map.
I didn't literally mean the next one I meant people thinking there's ever going to be a GTA like that
Rockstars maps arent even that detailed. Most buildings in 5 dont even have interiors and the ones that do you can tell from a distance like seeing the main character in a cartoon compared to background characters. To expect them to make a full size map is sheer delusion unless you want every building to be a flat geometric cube which most of them already are anyway. What they should do is focus on giving more buildings interiors. For the world to feel more alive it needs to feel like if you want to run into a building you can, instead of weaving between cubes and blocks.
>I didn't literally mean the next one I meant people thinking there's ever going to be a GTA like that
I don't believe they will ever depict ever detail in the real life U.S. map, but it's not far fetched that there will be a map based on the entire country rather than one city. You still can make a smaller map compared to real life and do a map based on the U.S.
>Alway like seeing al lthose stupid fake maps peopel would make
I think one of the best was that fuck huge one for GTA V, the one that had dozens of cities on it. I always wondered what a GTA on that scale would have been like.
Not without having a bunch of tiny ass cities surrounded by shit tons of flat boring area.
t. 12 year old
Which GTA V and San Andreas for that matter had, so I can see it happening. Wouldn't put it past Rockstar at all.
if GTA V had full sized San Fierro and Las Venturas it would have been perfect
The story may be smaller in scope but the map may be fuckhuge
God damn the East Coast is such a shithole.
Yeah, but the eastern seaboard is the most densely populated part of the country and thanks to suburbs and infill its home to at least two different megalopolises (megalopoli?).
Kind of stupid to cut Pennsylvania out of the map though since Philly.
the only need to do a better vice city and thats all including more parts of florida
Really do hope 6 has more than the one city and for the love of god no retarded road that loops around the entire island that only makes it feel way smaller and is made with PS5, Series X and PC in mind and not the fucking last gen shit (no doubt PC will like a year later again. Fucking greedy cunts.)
>East instead of west
Cringe
>more parts of florida
Literally fuck the entire state of florida outside of Miami.
I'd kill for a media noche and cup of cuban espresso.
All of Florida and cuba for a drug smuggling story would be all you need
>giant map
>100s of players per server
>30 min drive real time from san andreas to vice city
>no difference in online and single player
>dynamic heists up to 32 players
>fully destructible terrain
>game modes flow into one another, a deathmatch might shift into a team battle, into a 2 player co-op experience with no loading screens
>99.9% photo realistic graphics(if you squint)
>GTAVI:Black Flag
The majority of the map is ocean and you primarily smuggle in drugs and people while dodging the coast guard and navy.
Epstein's island is a purchasable property.
As someone who lives in the East, I agree. I would prefer the West Coast, but sadly doing Los Santos again would probably put people off because of GTA V. Yet, it would be a double-standard if they do Liberty again. I honestly wish they did this in GTA V, and then you add Las Venturas as DLC.
Rockstar will never make single player DLC again.
>people
Yeah no thanks commie
Sad truth.
The west coast is going to be uninhabitable for large swaths of the year if wildfires continue on like they are
gta games never had kids so it would be only an empty place.
RDR2 was still handcrafted. I imagine they're going at least partially procedural for future titles. Every open world game implements Houdini in some way nowadays.
It's establishing the location for Bully 2
it's about the graphical upgrade. the jump up from GTA 5 will not be monumental, since it got released on PC (and last-gen consoles) with lots of features that shit on the PS360 "original" GTA 5. do you really want to see the same tired rendition of LA again? it wouldn't look any different. meanwhile Liberty City was last seen in blurry as fuck GTA 4 where even the PC version looks antiquated (and runs like shit forever).
I want Vice City out of nostalgia, but I also know Rockstar can't pull it off any more. they can't even get a fucking soundtrack any more due to all the licensing headaches with the older GTAs. god, the music industry is such a disgusting tumor.
>Kind of stupid to cut Pennsylvania out of the map though since Philly.
I think it's because Philly and PA isn't near the Atlantic Ocean, and R* always includes cities near the ocean. It's why we'll likely never see a Midwest city.
My bet is they're going to do Los Santos again. Show it off in fancy next gen graphics and just when you think it's a GTA V remake, they're going to give you a glimpse of Las Venturas, San Fierro and a Seattle equivalent. Entire West Coast.
>Hoped for DLC that expanded North Yankton or added new areas
>NOPE! Heres some shitty multipler trash instead
Depressing when you look at their previous DLCs, shit like the GTA IV ones not even needing the base game.
Sometimes map leaks are legit the RDR2 map was leaked years in advance and everyone thought it was fake cause it had RDR1's map connected to it
