Yakuza 6 retconned Yakuza K1. PCF doesn't mention the events of K1 to Kiryu, but they do talk about the events of 0.

Combat is huge kick in the nuts
It's ok having the enemies blocking, but having 2 options like waiting to counter-attack or grabbing is so boring. And heat actions doing no damage to bosses sucks.

Switch targets, grab throw, pick up a weapon, pull out a weapon, counter, sidestep around them, there's plenty you can use. Of course not all of it is always available, but weapons for example can be equipped always. Personally I like how it forces me to do more than just smash square.
I think hard mode works better in bossfights, but having every street fight being like this is tiresome.

only played K1 but i feel like the original had more detail, especially in the enviroments and K1 kind of reused a lot of assets from 0, also they missed a big opportunity to completely scrap many substories and make cool ones

There are no bad Yakuza games but there are some who are better than others i'd say 6 is the worst and 3 is the second worst Andre Richardson was pretty cool though
Yeah I slapped on the accessory that reduces random encounters as soon as I could during my current replay. I've only fought three bosses at this point, but if the blocking "bug" affects them too I honestly didn't even notice. But well, bosses have longer attacks string than enemies in street encounters so there's usually more chances to slip in a few punches behind their backs so that may be it.
