Because you can “hack” everything. Hacking your car is just old school hot rodding for fast top end, or faster acceleration, or better cornering at the expense of faster launches.
Throw in being able to jack in to a cars telemetry and use a fucking HUD for your cyber eyes that tells you basic car information while you’re hanging out the window firing at cops. Being able to program the cars computer on the fly is cyberpunk as fuck.
