No idea why. Diablo’s dark-gothic deepest-lore shit got thrown aside for bog standard corruption and Skinner box gameplay.

Diablo used to be edgy, painting the church as this dark organization working with the hells they’re supposed to save you from and the basement full of mutilated bodies. Then they got all family friendly and not quite so edgy and just plain generic dark fantasy.

I mean diablo, you had a kid who’s leg got eaten by demons, you came across a kid sacrificed on an alter, the butchers room, albrecht just being the prince and having a crystal jammed in his head so Satan could control him, hell even the town drunk was a drunk because that dude had seen some shit.

You don’t get edgy shit like that from Blizzard anymore because they’re so focused on broad appeal they won’t risk anything.

No. But that’s not the fault of Blizzard. They are doing the best they can.

HOS is/was decent.
The idea of a Warcraft 3 Remaster (as well as Diablo 2) is fine, in theory.
New hearthstone gamemodes are pretty fun.
Classic WoW hasn't devolved into Classic+ levels of idiocy (although I wouldn't hold my breath to it).
