Troy Baker, Nolan North

Which of these two video game voice actors was the Jannetty?

Nolan North actually seems like a decent guy. Troy Baker is a massive asshole that even shits on Nolan in some let's play they did.

Nolan seems like a bro who you could legit hang out with

Troy is that nonce at the party with a guitar who HAS to show everyone the songs he can play and be the center of attention

Nolan North is the type of guy you can sit down have a beer with and talk about all kinds of shit, Troy Baker is pretentious cunt that loves showing off and talking about 2deep4u shit than makes you want to blow your brains out

Yuri Lowenthal impersonating Troy Baker impersonating Kanji Tatsumi

Didn't they have a YouTube channel were they played games and Troy Baker left? Nolan has always seemed like a genuinely nice guy that doesn't play many games but likes them a lot. You can tell from interviews on the old Assassin's Creed or Spec Ops The Line how much he enjoyed the roles and the stories they help to tell.

Troy Baker doesn't exist, it's just one of Nolan's voices.

they had a falling out, apparently Troy Baker was a little bitch that wanted to change their youtube channel format and Nolan said no so he decided to end their friendship and go on to create his own youtube channel literally called Troy Baker, the man is in love with himself

I'd like to think he didn't use to be like this back in the Vesperia days but for all I know he was always an egotist fag and he just faked it better back when he didn't have the likes of Druckmann as BFFs.

It feels like after he got some big western roles he started looking down on japanese games and roles. I based this solely on him not coming back to voice Kanji in Persona 4 Arena.

>be a country of 320 mil
>only have 10 actors in the biggest entertainment medium
uhm....ok

Fuck man. He did such a great job with Yuri. What happened?

Apparently they patched up as they worked on DIRT 5 during COVID (Of all games) but Nolan's just focused on his kids now to go back and do youtube.

Troy Baker was cool when he was humble, acting mainly in weebshit. He put in genuine effort and brought his roles to life. The way he behaves now is like a totally different person. I seriously can't reconcile that the pretentious dickbag putting on growly southern tones for every AAA movie game is the same guy who once got genuinely excited talking about how much he loved playing the main character in fucking Trinity Blood.

Blame Hollywood.

You don't get it user, he's an actual actor now

blame it on him being friends with Neil (((DruckMann)))

Definitely Nolan.

This
North is grounded, willing to joke around and spit fire if needs be
Baker is an ‘artiste’ who has a massively inflated ego.

I think it’s pretty cool Rockstar hires actors, and even regular people off the street for their games, for Bully they even hired fledgeling actors

Generic Baker can go fuck himself. Man with no range.

>Man with no range.
He used to have it now he literally uses his own voice for every game he's in

He even stopped halfway through the anime

Love the move of Square Enix to hire british stage actors for fantasy stuff. I guess game of thrones popularity made muricans more open to the idea of different accents.

nathan drake is a cool guy

Baker is the most successful and popular. He is also the most obnoxious. So North was the jannetty.

Baker used to be awesome in the lidnto late 2010's when he did mostly weebshit.
Bioshock Infinite was the turning point for him. After that he became a AAA only guy.

Troy Baker seems like the worst stereotype of Hollywood. Completely fake, easily offended, blows up at everything and everyone and over-demanding of respect and adulation. He's like Wil Wheaton.

Nolan North seems thankfully self-aware.

Dude did a spot on impression of Mark Hammil's Joker for Batman Arkham Origins. He has a ton of range, it's just that most people cast him for Troy Baker's voice.
Same thing happens Matt Mercer, who gets cast as Troy Baker's voice.

You get to purge either Troy Baker, Ashley Burch, or Matthew Mercer from this rock.

Which one?

There's a few notable animation VA's in GTA on the radio ads. But generally Rockstar is really careful about it because they swung their dick around on GTA IV hiring a lot of character actors in the New York acting scene who did shows like Law and Order and they had to decline regular paid work to go do GTA IV and found out they weren't getting the residuals like they would a TV show as residuals are the main way they make money, especially if they are used multiple times and have to turn down other bit parts. The actor who played Niko said he'd never do a vidya again because while he was paid good. He lost a lot of roles when he went back to regular work because he was so long on GTA and there was no residuals on top of the pay and a lot of the actors who worked on GTA IV were pretty mad at Rockstar taking them out of work for months and there was no residuals at the end of it.

Rockstar uses a combination now though the main roles are usually done by character actors and stage actors.

>spot on impression
That's not what I'd call it but yeah, he was good in that. Also Shinnok in MKX and Gul'Dan in WoW.
He needs to do more roles that aren't just PROTAGONIST MAN.

>that time when Nolan was really struggling with some game (Uncharted I think) and Troy was too busy talking with his friend
